I have undeniable evidence that Corey Taylor never really listened to the album:
If he truly did listen, wouldn't his entire head have swelled up and burst due to it being his first-ever exposure to quality sound?

ewww that just gives me even more reason to dislike Slipknot. I work in a record store and just looking at their album art and song titles usually makes me a bit ill... but now I see the (lack of) brains behind the operation and understand perfectly. When you're fronted by a man who can't create a sentence without half of his words being profanities... well, you've got a way to go before you make art or anything important for that matter.

How about the ugly guy shows his face for once and stops wearing that shiteous mask. Someone just wanted ATTENTION... the two types of music can't even be compared! Sorry to hate on Slipknot (just like their guy did to my favorite band) but that is the one band I can't stand!

You may be overstating the brilliance of Coldplay there, slightly.

Creators of disposable/fashionable pop songs? Yes.

Creators of art? No.

Still, the former is a slight greater than Slipknot.
