Well, they probably use different sizes on acoustics then they do electrics, just wondering what size (.60, .88) he uses.

I'm sure he uses quite thick ones, because I remember on the south bank show when he was playing Wedding Bells, the tone was very sharp and crisp, and in Major Minus it's also quite crisp and punchy, so I'd say yeah, not sure what thickness because I go by colours in my local guitar shop...I use blue which is quite thick :L

Chris and Jonny used Jim Dunlop .60mm nylon picks during Viva, i see no reason why they would change that...

They didn't at least I think so.
I know a guy who is a technician and he was preparing things during the Heineken Open'er Festival 2011. So he picked some picks after the headliners that had performed and they were all dunlops. He for sure picked the Coldplay ones so yes, I think that they are still using dunlops too.

I am 100% sure that he uses the Jim Dunlop .60mm nylon(gray) and the Jim Dunlop tortex .50mm (red). I have this picks and I watched a lot of their gigs paying attention on the picks.
I think he uses the .50 mm for acoustic and the .60mm for eletric guitars.
I got say I love the Jim Dunlop .60mm nylon, it's the best pick I ever used.

Well maybe he uses both for acoustic and eletric guitars.
In this video you can see clearly its the red one he is using, and you can also see the picks in the pickguard, and see for sure that its the picks I posted before.

That's what I did ;D
They are great...
But I'm sure you will prefer much more the .60(silver one).

I feel an urge to input as I own just about every dunlop pick there is. The .50 seems like it's perfect for most of coldplay's acoustic stuff, although I use a .40 when it's really quiet. It'll depend on their string guage too though, I just switched from .13's to .14's and the .50 sounds like a .75 compared to the thinner strings.

Got out one of his picks. Hope this helps. He used this one on an acoustic guitar. Don't know much about pick sizes so I put a battery next to it for sizing purposes.
