Good analogy. But I can't help but focus on one little part..

Living in the northern hemisphere, jet skis are close to the bottom of the list of priorities on the 10th of December.

I think we should take this opportunity to recommend NON-Coldplay music to one another.

Any opinions on the new albums by Wilco, St. Vincent, and M83? I guarantee MX won't be as good as any of them.
