Well, after the announcement with the DVD i highly doubt there will be an EP or new songs in a way...i sure "the big surprise" which was promised is the DVD.

Things are starting to makes sense now. The 2012 tour was all based around this "greatest hits" set list to make a mass-appealing Live DVD. Then in 2013, Comic books will start being released and we'll get more of the MX narrative in the performances. Even a few tracks from a short EP would be enough to revitalize the tour in the same way Prospekt's March did on the last.

There was something so magical about seeing LITii played for the first time. We all knew this melody from Viva La Vida's opening track, and then finally there was a full song to it. This, along with a few other changes really made the 2010 performances a step up from the first shows of 2008.

The 2011 Festivals were incredible, but I have this feeling that 2013 will breathe life into a whole new type of show. Just a hunch.

I don't know , I think they'll be on a break. There are no tour dates for 2013, I hope a few songs will surface but i dont know if they wil...

There's about a 95% chance they'll tour Latin America tour for 2013.

^agree. I think they will tour Latin America and Asia next year. I'm guessing they'll announce the dates in January. They may even add more shows in Europe, like in Ireland.

It would be awesome if they release an EP.

Well for this tour I'm pretty fullfilled , seen the MX show 3 times now in Holland

All three magnificent in their own way. But MX the setlist, album and the whole show is all pretty ''bigroom'' oriented imo. I hope they'll release some quality coldplay songs before the era is over that don't say , we're Coldplay and we want to conquer the world with our hits. But give you chills like Moving to mars, amsterdam , see you soon... hm I could go on and on

Coldplay are taking 2013 off and then starting work on the next album. That's what I heard.

I am fully aware of the rumors both you and I have heard. Nothing is confirmed, so I doubt that, currently.
