Re-interpreting the album under the light shed by the comics

Yep, this video shows Aiko and Lela, the "first sparkers" around 5:40

Around 1:59 they show baby Mylo who has "been influenced at a very young age by seeing some of the sparkers but has forgotten over the years"

And then the interview with Mark Osborne mentions they are Mylo's parents and were killed in the war:

So Mylo was orphaned after the war but still saw Sparkers, and maybe witness his parents be taken or killed?

I think Charlie Brown is where he realizes he too can create sparks (he does have the genes after all)

I've just taken a look at the excerpts from Chris' notebook for the first time since the revelation of the comic, and boy was that thing in front of us THE WHOLE TIME!

I mean, there's even a page with the names of the characters and things that we still haven't heard of yet, but definitely comic-y:

Oh, and I noticed something really interesting. On one page there's a tracklist of MX, from 2010:

That's right, SOUNDTRACK. I guess Major Minus was supposed to be a soundtrack for the movie...

Oh, and also, a few lyrics from The Man Who Swears are written on a page entitled MAJOR MINUS (and there's a little drawing of an angry face):

Maybe it tells us a bit about MM's personality...(or this song could be something the Sparkers like to sing )
On this page, from what I can read, there's also:

Now it's even clearer how the development of the comic and the album are connected

Wooh, thanks Wabbit! I saw the video's but sometimes didn't get all the guy was telling (he tells so monochrome/boring - sorry). Yep, he says indeed that the parents of Mylo were the original Sparkers. Thank you for clearing that up!

He probably didn't have a choice? Maybe all orphans have to become Silencers?

I agree, I'm pretty sure they don't get to choose (or at least they didn't, at the time when Mylo was much younger)

I need more story from the comics to really re-interpret the album. From the little I've read/seen so far from the comics, my interpretation of the album is still the same as the story in the comics is more or less the same - oppressive environment, trying to break away, boy meets girl, etc.

But that's just me. I haven't been studying the comics like everyone has done so far to avoid spoilers so I could be wrong.

In this interview at 5:30, Chris explains 2 characters in a "big scary city" and "finding freedom in a big oppressive city". Also at 14:00 he explains "it's more like a movie, a story you can put yourself into".

It must have been so hard for them to not give away much right at the beginning!
