The Exhibition Room

Coldplay news
Remember rsvp@coldplay.com over at the official site? Well, some of the Coldplayers who sent in an email to that address over the past few weeks have been the lucky recipient of the following email, below. If you have received this email, let us know at the Coldplay forum what digital art submissions you have made... [thanks coldplayisawesome, I Bloom Blaum, Nikki84 & The Escapist and everyone else who has contributed to the threads!]

Hello, You're one of a select band of Coldplay fans who sent an email to rsvp@coldplay.com. Thank you very much for doing that. We wanted you to be the first to know that we're about to launch a new feature on Coldplay.com called The Exhibition Room. It's a digital art gallery, which will feature submissions from Coldplay fans. The gallery will launch on Thursday November 5th - and we'd like one of the RSVPers to supply the launch Exhibit.

The Exhibition Room will display all of the following: animation; graphics; home video; claymation; illustrations; paintings; photography; music videos; short films; anything that you can upload. It can be about/of anything you like...

If you have a suitable creation which you'd to like to be the very first Exhibit in the The Exhibition Room - even if it's just a really nice picture you took on holiday - then email it to rsvp@coldplay.com before 11:59pm (GMT) on Wednesday November 4th. Pictures should be landscape-shaped and no bigger than 2MB. Videos (max 5 minutes long) should be sent in the form of a YouTube url.

By submitting an entry, you are certifying that you are the owner of the image/video, that it contains no offensive images and that you agree to the Terms and Conditions at the bottom of this email. The best creation submitted by 11.59pm on November 4th will be picked as the launch Exhibit. After that, all other Exhibits will come via the Exhibition Room upload form on Coldplay.com. If the creation you email to rsvp@coldplay.com isn't picked as the launch item, then please feel free to upload it via Coldplay.com once the Exhibition Room has launched.

We look forward to seeing your work! Coldplay.com.

EXHIBITION ROOM - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The rights in the photographs, artwork, videos and any other images ("Image") submitted to the Coldplay.com Exhibition Room will remain the property of the person who uploaded the Image, but by uploading the Image the person doing so warrants that they are the owner of all rights in the Image and that they irrevocably grant to Coldplay the right to publish the Image on its official website, Coldplay.com, without further approval from or payment to any person or entity. The person uploading the Image also warrants that they are the sole owner of the Images and that the Images do not nor will they infringe any law or third party right. Coldplay has no obligation to maintain any Image uploaded on Coldplay.com and has the right at any time to remove any Image for any reason.

Speaking of Coldplayers... here's a reminder of who some of them were at Wembley... (would make an excellent internationally-intellectual collection on the wall of the exhibition don't you think?)
