I've noticed that the version of Yellow being played in the tour so far is faster than the album and previous live versions. Any reason for this change in tempo? The Oracle replies: As you can imagine when you have a song that you know you are going to be playing for the rest of your career it's good to take a different spin on it every tour. Dear Oracle, I've recently taken up bass guitar and I can't seem to find many recognizable - and of course by this I mean that someone would need to be able to tell what song it was right away - and semi-easy songs to learn. So my question is do you have any suggestions, and also in your opinion, what songs have the best bass lines of all time? The Oracle replies: There are so many astounding bass lines from jazz, blues, funk, soul to grunge and rock but these are the ones that sprang to my mind immediately.
