Coldplay hoping to win big as they celebrate 17 years of live music!

Coldplay will be hoping to win big next month as they are up for three GRAMMY awards and one BRIT award. The band, who have now been playing live music for 17 years from today have a possibility of equaling their impressive GRAMMY haul in 2009 (pictured above).

The British foursome will be up for three gongs at the GRAMMYs, with Ghost Stories being nominated for ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ and ‘Best Music Film’, while A Sky Full Of Stars will be up for ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’. In their home country, Coldplay have been nominated yesterday for this years BRIT Awards, under the ‘Best British Group’ category.

Chris Martin solo performance

Chris Martin will be performing on his lonesome for the GRAMMY salute, a primetime TV special which will take place at The Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles on Tuesday 10th February, with the event airing on TV the following Monday via CBS.

No confirmed performances for the GRAMMYs event itself or the exact times just yet. We reported on the possibility of Coldplay and Rihanna performing together recently.
