Coldplay on TV : Ghost Stories Documentary and release party
Coldplay on TV : The making of Ghost Stories documentary
Up late night watching TV yesterday?! if you were in the UK, you could of seen the making of Ghost Stories followed by the Ghost Stories film itself in full, featuring Ink, Midnight and O which were omitted during the NBC version of the film. Elsewhere, if you did not have access to Sky or are outside of the UK, many of us later on Monday evening watched the live stream of the iHeartRadio album release party which was posted on our Twitter and Facebook pages in addition to the Coldplaying forums.
If you are with Virgin Media or Sky in the UK, you can watch the documentary on demand via SkyArts1, if you do not or live outside of the UK, the link to watch the making of Ghost Stories documentary is below (with great thanks to comicforce). During the documentary, Guy Berryman talks about the riff for Magic and making the album in his own house. Will Champion talks about the inner band chemistry and what drives them on to succeed. Chris Martin explains the very personal lyrics within Ghost Stories while Jonny Buckland tells us about the anticipation with the release of the album.
Coldplay on TV : iHeartRadio release party
As mentioned, a live stream was posted on various Coldplaying portals yesterday. This was not a live event but a recording that was released as a live stream via Yahoo. The show had already been recorded a few days before it was released. The show, hosted by the charismatic Elvis Duran, featured 5 songs played by the band which were : Magic, Viva La Vida, A Sky Full of Stars, Paradise and True Love. Fans who were lucky enough to attend reportedly heard Clocks and O in an encore. On questions to the band, we learnt that the foul mouth member of Coldplay is Jonny and the grumpy one in the morning is Will!.
Reminder : Coldplay will perform on the final of The Voice USA tonight, on NBC, at 9 PM Central time we believe. Visit the Coldplaying forums for discussion as it happens!
