I am listening to it for a 2nd time through and I'm officially in love. I will go so far as to say it's one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long time. Has anyone else had the pleasure of hearing it yet?

I'm right with you there. It's a gorgeous song. Quite uplifting as well. I can't wait to hear all the songs before and after it though!

Wow, it's so different and awesome. I love orchestral music (esp strings) so this is really something for me. The beat it has.....damn! Hahahaha!

edit: was is that at 1.38? What instruments? It sounds amazing!!!!

p.s. Isn't there like an homage to sir Elton in the last part of the song ?

Ahh, finally! I was starting to worry that none of the new material was going to make me tear up. =)

This song makes me very happy.

When I first heard Violet Hill - I was unsure at the first few listens. Though it grew on me and then I loved it.

However at Viva la Vida - First listen I FUCKING LOVED IT!!! No room to grow for this one, I'm in love now!

Ooo, which part are you referring to? I immediately thought of his song called "Where to now, St. Peter." Is that what you mean? That's pretty obscure!!

I can't vote cause there's not the option " Brillant song as good as Violet Hill is "

That's my thought anyway.. both differents songs, but Coldplay at its best... for sure

I don't like it yet as much as Violet Hill, but that's because I like riffs probably..anyway if we're going to get such a diverse album..it'll be just amazing, song's really great, it's different but so great.

The choir in the last part sounds to me very Elton John. I like it :)

Maybe also a reference to "Where to now St. Peter" ?

Dirty was the daybreak
Sudden was the change
In such a silent place as this
Beyond the rifle range
