Odo 0 Posted October 27, 2007 anyone wants to share some thoughts on their new album "never seen the light of day" (released on friday here in germany)? probably i'm all alone on this (it gets bad reviews everywhere i look) - but for me it's their best record so far (and by far!). pure genius. i can't stop listening to this!!! for me defenitely on of the best albums of the year (the other ones being TRAVIS' THE BOY WITH NO NAME and RADIOHEAD'S IN RAINBOWS). sounds like the soundtrack to some italian western from the sixties! all tracks fit perfectly together. one of the best tracks: ONE BLOOD and a chilling last song DALARNA with some female singers, sounds like the end credits to that western movie i was talking about... Ode to Ochrasy was such a bore and the same melodies all over again and again. But songs like "One Blood" and "Dalarna" and "never seen the light of day" are definitly a step into a new direction and I love that! And the violins are great! It was a great show especially with Kevin James (The King Of Queens) and Take That who also did an acoustic version of "Back For Good" with Thomas Gottschalk as their new member. :D But the highlight was Mando Diao's "Dance With Somebody" performance.
