I just don't like the lyrics to AA. I'm sure they'll grow on me after a few days. Midnight just seems like an outlier on this album to me. It's definitely grown on me since the release though. But like I said, I don't think a single song on this album is bad. Some are just better than others

gotcha. The music to AA is hauntingly beautiful as is Midnight.

 

The only song I find "ok" is Oceans

Oceans doesn't fit the theme well either. I think of GS as a mix of X&Y and MX. Oceans is more like Parachutes

Speaking of past albums. here's my album rankings which probably won't change

I love the tone of Chris's singing in AA, and I love the chords, I think they're beautiful. The lyrics are a bit blatant, but that's ok in my opinion, I get what he's saying and I appreciate it.
