Speaking of sales I saw this today at my local Barnes & noble. Notice that the discounted new cd is not only Coldplay . They are currently discounting a lot of new releases (not Adele of course lol).

But it's a good sign they are at least promoting a bit :)

^^$4.99 for Parachutes-X&Y?!?! That's a steal!!

Well they are pretty old albums hehe But I do like that they made the little promotion stand. Also every time I visit Barnes I make sure to sneak AHFOD vinyl right in the front of the display for new releases *LOL*

A great chance to buy them as gifts hehe Im sure all of us already own them :)

I even have Parachutes and AROBTTH double (happened when I was hunting down rare Coldplay CDs and some of them came with sets. Once I had really good luck - I purchased a set containing used copies of AROBTTH, Sparks EP and the BLUE ROOM EP for 3 bucks !!)

Green with envy! I am missing AROBTTH. Will rush out to BN.

I found this on the Barnes & Noble music section :

A Head Full of Dreams, by Coldplay

For this, their seventh studio album, Coldplay pulled out all the stops and collaborated with Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, and Merry Clayton, among others. They even sampled President Barack Obama singing “Amazing Grace.” They meant business this time around, and the sales reflect that; while the album’s chart position was upended by Adele in several markets, A Head Full of Dreams brought Coldplay their highest first-week album sales since 2008. The band said from the start that this album was going to be “colorful and uplifting,” and they deliver on that, from the jaunty, world-music flute melody in “Adventure of a Lifetime” to the piano-driven “Everglow,” which also features uncredited guest vocals from Gwyneth Paltrow.

1 Coldplay - A Head Full of Dreams (25,646)

Wednesday British chart update. Would it be legit for beating Beatles record? It seems it's about to be first on the debut week, but I'm not sure.

Yay! So if it's confirmed do they match the Beatles?

I don't think so because that's, I believe, a record for consecutive debuts at #1. However, I'm sure there is probably some record for having your first 7 albums hit #1.
