Coldplaying Listening Party

But musically I don't like it very much I'm afraid, and the lyrics - I know they're meant to sound inspirational but they end up sounding cliched at least to me...although I've kind of gotten used to it with time.

I remember that I felt Big Sean was not as bad as I expected him to be, though. I like his rap much better than Jay-Z's on Lost+ for example.

i also was really BLOWN AWAY hearing Miracles SS for the first time

Same! The lyrics are what I've believed since I can remember. This was a great way to include rapping in a Coldplay song

And now one of my favourites: A L I E N S

This song takes me back to Hamburg...

I prefer the original lyrics video version of the song to the one that ended up on the album, but both are great.

A L I E N S makes me miss the MX era so much :sob:

It somehow gives me more of an X&Y Era feel, don't know why :D

This sad fingerpicked acoustic guitar melody gets me...and Chris's vocals on this song are great too

really, the whole EP is kinda a perfect showcasing of the evolution of CP, an amalgamation of their past while still adding something new to it

Watching my life

On the skyline

Crossing your eyes

For a lifetime

It's nominated for pop album but I don't think it fits one genre. It mixes all they've learned from all their influences

yes! and they still blend together somehow, none of them really feel out of place - again, except that SJLT is live. i feel like if it was the studio version it would still fit in.

SJLT Live. Could really have benefitted from tuning the audience down a little and removing this strange layered vocals at the beginning

I ike Jonny's added guitar riff during the buildup...and then of course this guitar riff at the end. You know not that one that follows the synths but the other one, don't know how to describe it

I actually like the added sounds for the Hypnotised intro. Pity they didn't put them onto the CD pressing...

I love how subtly the drums sneak their way into the flow of the music
