  1. I'm from Brazil and Flesch is a very reliable and good source, especially about Rock in Rio, but I also doubt very much that the festival will occur this year. Although, it's a great sign!

  2. To me, the Rock in Rio news makes me think that Coldplay intend to release Music of the Spheres either this summer or early fall. Although, that could all change due to the circumstances.

  3. According to Music Journalist José Norberto Flesch, Coldplay will be one of the acts performing at Rock in Rio 2021. He's a very reputable Music Source and previously predicted their Rio de Janeiro shows back in 2017. His tweet found here: He also posted a video. Can anyone translate the Portuguese into English? Thanks! To me this is one of the clearest signs of new music coming out soon! The Rock in Rio festival takes place in the latter half of 2021.

  4. Downloading the 18th September one now, hopefully it finishes! the 19th November concert was for the AHFOD launch party and was broadcast in December. It was not part of the festival, it just happened to be for iHeartRadio

  5. The other day I listened to Amazing Day for the first time in forever. I paid extra attention to the lyrics and thought it would have fitted perfectly on the wedding album, as well as it talking about the stars (space - themed). I've also read there was a song called Alive Day recorded for Mylo Xyloto - could this have been turned into Amazing Day?

  7. Yeah, especially since Brazil's one of the COVID hotspots. But at least it's a sign of new music coming out soon!

  8. I'm from Portugal and I don't know much about him but he seems like a reliable source. No need for translation, he just says Coldplay will be part of the line-up for the 2021 Rock In Rio Brazil. Though I doubt that with Covid around it will actually happen... But who knows!

  10. PIECING (POSSIBLE) CLUES TO MUSIC OF THE SPHERES I've been putting this together for about a few hours now, and though it may not be concrete evidence, may just be apophenia and may or may not even be a cohesive theory, I think this would serve as a good foundation for some theories. Let's start in chronological order: 20 September 2009 - Coldplay feature in a documentary on the South Bank Show, promoting their album Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, and in a section of the documentary they talk about creating a new album. It may or may not be Mylo Xyloto, because the conce

  11. Hi guys, Hope you're well. I was wondering if there was ever a petition from this website to Coldplay in order to release the DVD "Coldplay Live in Barcelona (2009)". On youtube, I found a video published by vandreop which states that there was a petition, but the "oracle" said: "Awww that's very sweet of fans to care so much about a DVD but there are no plans to release one and in this case a petition can't change that decision... whether 714 signatures on it or 71400!" Is this true? If so, can someone post the link of the response please. On this website, @GamingF

  12. They played a bunch of festivals from June to October of 2011 and Rock In Rio was the last one. It's safe to say that they won't be doing another big festival tour this year. Maybe something toward the end of the year (like Rock In Rio Brazil, which runs from late September to early October)? I for one am not confident that the state of the world will allow such crowds until the end of the year. 2022 will probably be a better year for touring. I wonder if Coldplay are in a similar situation to what the Foo Fighters dealt with as they were recording their new album Medicine At Midnight. T

  13. If you check the Coldplay timeline in 2011, they had only released singles for Mylo Xyloto when they did this festival last. Then they dropped their album afterwards.

  14. It seems this DVD will virtually never be released. I have read the thread of the show and seemingly there was sound problems.

  15. Yeah but sure before that they’ll drop some singles

  17. José Norberto Flesch is famous in Brazil for his good informations about concerts. I don't think Rock in Rio is going to happen this year, but maybe Coldplay can perform in the festival in 2022? Plus... if this news is confirmed, it will be the second time Brazil spoils something about the band's new material 😂

  18. are you going to try and get tickets in march?

  19. Well... neither does Mylo Xyloto but that did become a short instrumental. They could defy tradition and not have a song called Music of the Spheres, but it's quite unlikely. It's a new song. Starting at 2:45, Chris talks about it as if it's a separate song. Maybe, if they end up releasing this other UFO, this will be another case like Miracles and Miracles (Someone Special) where they slightly alter the title just so people don't get confused.

  20. As Jon Lasseter said, you never finish something, you only stop working on it.

  21. For those wondering what Chris said, here's that version of UATW - he indeed says they've just finished the song....8 years after it was released on MX. And then after he plays the song someone requests he says "UFO...I definitely can't remember that and there's another song called UFO which isn't out either.

  22. don't forget that each Coldplay album has the title track, so it's safe to say that one of the tracks will probably be Music of the Spheres, so a possible tracklisting could be: - The Race - Us Against the World - Rescue St. - UFO - Music of the Spheres Also interesting to see where stuff like Mylo and Viva Deportes would be. In Chris' notebook it also mentions other songs like Lela, Car Kids, and Rex.

  23. And when Chris played UATW during his first Instagram Live stream last year... after mentioning that the song had been "finished"... he played a beautiful piano version much like the one above. Oddly enough, it didn't include the "silver bird" verse. A "silver bird" might refer to an airplane? Or even something like a UFO? A rocket ship? Definitely something silver and metallic that flies. Ahhh, you're thinking of this: http://www.coldplayzone.it/create-article/mylo-xyloto Anyways, I've just finished reading all the Mylo Xyloto comics and it's safe to say that there

  25. Perhaps check the credits? If you're serious about it then maybe ask Hannah (I believe that's her name). If I remember correctly, she was involved in putting together all the archive footage. The interview rings a bell though so I'll see if I can rack my brain and come up with where I know it from!

  26. I... never thought that Matthew Miller might have anything to do with Music of the Spheres. And I read all his old posts on the Coldplay Timeline just a few weeks ago but I didn't catch this. Well, as I've said time and time again, it's not like this band hasn't planned things out years in advance. It's not like they haven't revisited songs that they shelved years ago. Maybe this had something to do with Music of the Spheres. Or maybe not. And this pretty much confirms that the band came up with the name Music of the Spheres no later than 2018. But anyways, as for the Mylo tradema
