  1. Bad rap is exactly the keyword for XMTS...yes i'll see myself out

  2. I agree. SJLT is a BANGER and I like listening to it from time to time. My Universe will do much better than SJLT though although this ain’t about doing a cashgrab collab, they actually genuinely idolise each other, breaking down those barriers and giving BTS the honour of being on a Coldplay album. It’s probably the most wholesome collab they’ve ever done. Since Army is involved, it will no doubt smash all Coldplay records

  3. I think the average person / non-fan will look at this collab and say it's a sellout and or cash grab but I genuinely don't think it is. Will it be a smash hit and sell an incredible amount? Yes. But that doesn't mean the band have sold out. If this collab was a natural and organic one, which it seems like it was, then I have no problem with it. I doubt it will be my favorite Coldplay song, but I am looking forward to it and I honestly like what I have heard so far!

  4. I think it's similar to the Chainsmokers collab, if anything it's more of a cash grab. They've been marketing this collab quite well, talking about shared values etc. But at the end of the day BTS are very much a brand. They have an incredibly long list of brand deals under their belt, more than I've ever seen with any other artist. It's quite impressive actually, but those deals are made because they're very lucrative. It's not all about their music or their values. I always liked how Coldplay mostly stayed away from such deals and focused on their music instead as well as projects like the M

  5. It's a nice beat and I like Chris' melodies. It's clearly an unpolished demo/idea and you can tell he was trying to come up with lyrics. I think people are too harsh on it lol. It actually fits well right after Army of One.

  7. I predict it'll have more views than Coloratura in about 1-2 hours and will surpass HP within a week if not sooner.

  8. MOTS II comes before My Universe. I think this album will flow really well in spite of the genre variety. They're basically taking the idea of Everyday Life and sharpening it while also making the album more commercially viable. Except for Coloratura, that will hurt the streams, so it was a smart decision letting that one have its own moment.

  9. XMTS should have been a b-side imo. I think it gets a bad rap as well. It's undeniably catchy and shows the band's production talents. My main issue is the bass synths sound almost exactly like Swimming Pools by Kendrick Lamar and the song itself sandwiched between Army of One and Amazing Day is a weird transition. Coldplay usually is SO good at putting together thoughtful tracklists. I'm curious how MOTS is gonna flow and if there's MOTS II and MOTS III, how they will all tie together into a larger listening experience.

  11. It was a private listening party no phones were allowed in

  12. This song is like a warm hugπŸ’œ It is something very different from what they have done so far imo, but in a good way. I think they will combine a lot of styles and influences in this album (Coloratura, HP and Human heart may prove my theory), so I'm curious about how all this diversity will be held together

  14. So it seems the MU Leak was a demo. No rap on that one. So the finished version should be better, yeah? More clarity and polished for a nice shine. 😌

  15. The Army is massive, so I'm sure a good amount of them will check out Coldplay's catalogue and possibly become fans, specially because they can tell when a collab is genuine (Halsey) or a quick cash grab (Jason Derulo). But anyway, you check videos one by one? There's actually a website for that πŸ’€

  16. BTS had broken the record for most views in a day multiple times, this will be a landslide.

  17. Lady Gaga and Blackpink's Sour Candy audio had 21,8 million views in the first day on YouTube. With that said: BTS have the biggest kpop fan base. Parlophone will give a major push since it's an official single and not a promotional. Coldplay will probably release a high budget video. I think My Universe is making 50 million on the first day at the very least.

  18. I think that probably people compare this song to SJLT because it's another major collab that Coldplay did and it's also one of their most poppy songs too. Anyway, other songs we could perhaps compare MU to otherwise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJO3ROT-A4E&list=PLyORnIW1xT6wBFoOxTh__8a3dFzbgHYrw&index=2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvQTTA9raJU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPYZpwSpKmA

  19. From what I've heard now in the preview: this song has the potencial to become the worst Coldplay song ever. Why is there a collaboration on every album now?!? I just want to hear Coldplay, not this other sh**.

  23. Overall the song is the same but you can clearly tell how the official snippet is better, with more details, stronger production... The leak is more like a demo.

  24. I've heard the full song, but here's a snippet Coldplay posted on TikTok. Despite it being VERY Newplay, I absolutely love it.

  25. I am disappointed by the gap between Coloratura and the next single. I wish they'd release another promotional single. <insert The Race suggestion>
