Coldplay have stunned us all with an exotic and amazing music video for their new single Hymn for the Weekend!

When we saw Coldplay in Mumbai last year we were sure that a music video was being filmed. However A Head Full of Dreams had not been announced and we had no clue who was going to feature in the video nor what the song sounded like. Ben Mor, the director of the video along with the rest of the team have outdone themselves. Just take a look at the video and I hope you agree that it's one of the best Coldplay music videos ever!

In the video we see Beyonce playing a top celebrity with her headshot posted across the streets of Mumbai. Meanwhile Chris and the band are left to play a small gig in the middle of the square while having Holi powder thrown on them by some kids! Now we know where the colourful inspiration for AHFOD came from!

Apart from Beyonce, the video features Bollywood superstar, Sonam Kapoor. Kapoor expressed her excitement to feature in the music video for Coldplay's second single:

I love Coldplay's music and so does the world. It was a huge honour to be a part of the video. It's a great concept and I had a lot of fun shooting for it.

Sister Rhea Kapoor, who usually styles her, kept the look strictly traditional. "They zeroed in on a desi look with Sonam in a ghagra choli and wearing the traditional mang tika and a nose ring," a source informed.

For the video, which is being directed by Ben Mor, the Bollywood actress filmed extensively at temples and forts across Mumbai. "Sonam shot for a day last October at the Golfa Devi Temple in Worli and the Vasai fort," added an insider. Shot last October, the video also stars Beyonce, who has also lent her voice to the track.

Beyonce's scenes were shot separately and we mostly see her appear on movie screen or on a film reel. We're presuming she is being portrayed as a movie star throughout the video!

Coldplay are set to perform Hymn For The Weekend with Beyonce along with other classics such as Clocks, Viva La Vida and the newly released Adventure of a Lifetime!

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Queen Bey herself, Beyonce will join Coldplay at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show!

Beyonce is expected to perform Hymn for the Weekend from Coldplay's latest album, A Head Full of Dreams which features vocals from the singer. Representatives for Beyonce and the NFL have not responded to requests for comments yet.

ET previously reported that the "Uptown Funk" singer, Bruno Mars would also be joining Coldplay on stage after headlining last year's halftime show.

"We're gonna give it everything we have" the band's frontman Chris Martin spoke excitingly in a video interview with Pepsi.

The band's artistic director and childhood friend, Phil Harvey previously hinted there would be “special guests” involved in the band’s halftime show — and there may even be one more musical act joining Beyonce and Bruno Mars.

Coldplay have released their music video for the second track on their new album A Head Full of Dreams. Directed by Marcus Haney, the music video features the band's trip to salvation mountain.

The video is shot in a 4:3 aspect ratio, similar to old VHS videos. Shaky footage, an almost 'retro' like filter and overlapping frames make the music video original unlike modern pop videos. Some parts of the video make it seem like it was shot through a kaleidoscope! Its difficult to see whats actually going on in the video and will need proper analysis to find out the true story

Pilar Zeta created the album art for Coldplay's 7th studio album Head Full of Dreams.

The life and work of self-taught Argentinian artist Pilar Zeta embody a cosmological vision. “My mom is a strong believer that ‘the truth is out there.’” Like many Indigo Children, Pilar’s search for truth has fueled a transformative journey into herself at age 16 through mediation and into the world at age 19 through art.

In Miami Pilar established herself as a graphic designer in the electronic music community. In Berlin, she became part of the city’s nightlife and design renaissance, joining the art collective Outland. Her independent and collaborative work was exhibited in London, Berlin and Moscow. Of her esthetic, she says, “I am in service to Geometry, it has a sacred order that is fundamental to all good design”

Inspired by Thoth, the Egyptian deity of arbitration and hieroglyphics, in 2010 Zeta launched RAD, her own galactic agency. RAD’s areas of expertise range from Design, Packaging, and Graphics, to more esoteric offerings like Witchcraft, Choreography. Clients, referred to as Believers, include respected electronic labels Island Records, Fool’s Gold, Visionquest, Greco-Roman & Get Physical.

Zeta’s love of metaphysics and beauty found a kindred spirit in techno-funk starchild Jimmy Edgar, whom she met through a mutual friend in 2011. Inspired by a trip to Machu Pichu, they launched Ultramajic, a record label with an experiential agenda. Together they create multidimensional experiences, using sound, design, photography and fashion, as well as magick cards, 3D videos, and installations.

A lifelong fan of neo-classical sculpture, time travel, gods & planets, Zeta’s next project, Holographic Universe, explored ideas of dimensions through fabric. The Los Angeles label’s debut collection showed in Paris, New York, and Las Vegas.

After two seasons, Zeta broke away from Holographic Universe to focus on Ultramajic and develop more solo work. She returned to the art world in January 2015 with an installation at the Standard Hotel in Los Angeles.

On the eve of the release of their seventh LP A Head Full Of Dreams, Coldplay stopped by BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge to perform an acoustic version of the album’s disco-pop lead single “Adventure Of A Lifetime.” The band performed 2 songs, Christmas Lights and Adventure of a Lifetime at the St John at Hackney Church in London.

Jonny Buckland’s cascading guitars were still intact, but for this outing Chris Martin’s piano provided most of the song’s heft, and the band got an assist from Annie Mac’s in-studio handclaps.

Coldplay have finally dropped their groovy music video for first 'AHFOD' single, 'Adventure Of A Lifetime'.

After watching multiple teasers, including a quick glimpse of how the technology was used to 'transform' the band into Apes, we were able to feast our eyes on the extremely fun music video (featured above).

Happy thanksgiving Coldplayers! It's been a fantastic day, with the unvieling of a new Coldplay ballad, called 'Everglow'. Credit to the Coldplayers who have deciphered the lyrics, shortly after the song debuted on Zane Lowe's show.

'Everglow' is now available to download on iTunes. Chris Martin's ex-partner, Gwyneth Paltrow appears on the backing vocals of the song.

Coldplayzone have posted an exclusive on their website, which previews Coldplay's seventh album (due for release on December 4th!).

We learn a few new facts, such as hidden track, 'X Marks The Spot' appearing at the end of 'Army Of One', not right at the end of the album as we assumed. 'Kaleidoscope' is the track which features The Guest House poem and Barack Obama singing 'Amazing Grace'. Georgian pianist, Khatia Buniatishvili is another collaboration on 'A Head Full Of Dreams' and will be playing the piano on the mentioned track.

Hidden track, 'X Marks The Spot' is perhaps the least hyped of all the tunes on Coldplay's new album, 'A Head Full Of Dreams' but Chris Martin has named the mysterious track as his favourite moment on their seventh LP.

This comes from a new interview with The Rolling Stone, where the hidden finale of the album (after 'Up&Up') is described as 'Chris spitting rhymes through a vocoder over drum loops'. The percussion on the song is very peciular indeed, according to Chris:

Coldplay performed a heart-warming acoustic set at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, as they paid tribute to the victims of the Paris attack.

The scheduled Tidal concert was postponed, following the tragic events in France, the same evening. Coldplay kept solidarity though and played a live acoustic set in front of the grateful fans, who made the trip for the original concert.

The setlist included a portion of a new 'A Head Full Of Dreams' track, presumed to be 'Birds'. Fitting in with all the other golden oldies of the night, 'Sparks' was performed by the whole band for the first time since 2007. Here's a setlist of the touching set:

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Kiss FM, Coldplay's lead singer revealed that a clip of U.S. President Obama, singing 'Amazing Grace' will feature on their forthcoming album, due for release on December 4th.

A poem from 'The Guest House' (Written by Rumi, in the 13th century) will be another addition to 'AHFOD'. Chris Martin had referenced the poem as one of his newer inspirations, during the 'Ghost Stories' era and recited the whole poem in front of an audience at a recent Karma Lecture in New York. During an interview with John Kennedy (who has a long history with the band) on Radio X, formerly XFM, Coldplay's frontman revealed Noel's involvement with 'Up&Up' and that he asked the Q Award winner "to do a solo like Jonny", while asking "Jonny to do a solo like Noel". Chris Martin was very pleased with the result and named 'Up&Up' as one of the "favorite songs they've ever done".

If that wasn't enough, Chris also confirmed the inclusion of Beyonce, Merry Clayton and his two children, on the mentioned track!
