The Mother-of-two, who has been forced to take a short break from filming her latest movie Iron Man, in which she stars with Robert Downey Jnr, will no doubt be hopping mad (groan).

Usually, the shy and retiring actress is determined not to be spotted by fans or the press and buries her head in her hands, or holds a bag up to her face. Perhaps this is how she injured herself in the first place. But now, Gwyneth, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 30, and lives in north London with their children Apple, three, and Moses, 18 months, doesn't have a free hand to hide herself.

Helena Christensen may always be known for her sexy role in Chris Isaak's music video for "Wicked Game," but there may be a new musician in her life these days. According to London's Daily Mail, the 38-year-old supermodel has been cozying up to Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman.

Christensen recently split with actor Jack Huston - Anjelica's nephew. Even though she hasn't been back on the market for long, she may already be on the road to a new relationship. She accompanied Guy and his bandmate, Chris Martin with wife Gwyneth Paltrow for an outing last week.

A source close to Christensen said, "Guy's ten years younger than Helena but she always goes for younger men. She thinks Guy is a real charmer and she loves spending time with him. He recently split from his girlfriend, so technically they are both single and free to see whoever they want."

Helena's rep denied the rumors, stating, "Helena is happily single. She's known Gwyneth, Chris and Guy for ages and they enjoy hanging out…There's no relationship."

Helena Christensen’s washing might be whiter than white but the new face of Ariel has a decidedly colourful love life.

The stunning 38-year-old Dane, who has something of a penchant for toyboys, has given her boyfriend Jack Huston the flick and already has her eye on a dashing new man. Jack, whose claims to fame are a small role in Factory Girl and having a famous aunt (Anjelica), is said to be "very low" about the break-up.

But Helena, who dated the handsome actor for over a year, has already struck up a close friendship with newly single Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman.

A friend says Helena was hanging out with Guy last week, along with Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow. "Guy’s ten years younger than Helena but she always goes for younger men," says the pal. "She thinks Guy is a real charmer and she loves spending time with him. He recently split from his girlfriend, so technically they are both single and free to see whoever they want."

Helena, who gave up the catwalk seven years ago to pursue a career in photography and look after her son Mingus, jetted off to America last week.

But she plans to return to Britain later this summer and open an antiques shop here. Her agent told me: "Helena is happily single. She’s known Gwyneth, Chris and Guy for ages and they enjoy hanging out."

The agent also insisted: "There’s no relationship." Time will tell.

As she collected her daughter from nursery, Gwyneth Paltrow clearly decided to take a leaf out of Michael Jackson's book. 'Wacko Jacko' is known for covering his children's faces with veils in public, but the Hollywood actress went one step further, hiding both herself and three-year-old Apple under a long black shawl.

But if Gwyneth, 34, hoped to avoid attracting attention as they left the building in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, she failed. One parent said: "It was really odd. She couldn't see where she was going because the shawl was so tightly wrapped around their heads. They were actually drawing more attention to themselves."

Gwyneth's husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, chose a more down-to-earth disguise for the nursery collection trip, wearing a dark blue hoodie and shades.

Michael Jackson regularly masks his children - Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II - with veils. The singer claims that he has to disguise their faces as a security measure because he fears they could be a target for kidnappers.

Can you spot a certain Mr Chris Martin?

Coldplay’s concert in Manchester, UK in October 2002 was filmed especially for MTV and was one of the best performances the MEN Arena has ever seen. The gig was shown on MTV on Sunday, October 20th 2002 (did you see it?)

At the time, 'The Scientist' proved too elegiac for American audiences, so they got Clocks while the UK lapped up The Scientist. Then the UK got Clocks too - and it's so tense it sounds like it has been wound up. Chris Martin's piano again dominates with a catchy little phrase, the rest of the band filling in the surrounding sonic blanks with understated guitar, bursts of bass and an off-the-wall drum rhythm. And Martin's voice is as impassioned as we've come to expect. "And nothing else compares," he cries, and as far as Coldplay go, it's difficult to argue.

The MEN Arena has been the largest indoor arena in Europe since opening in 1995 and has remained one of the most structurally advanced venues on the continent. The arena was built to coincide with Manchester's 1996 Olympic bid, and was heavily promoted in the campaign for the 2000 Olympic bid. When opened the arena was the first large venue in Europe to follow the traditionally American arena layout of 360 degree seating and its style has been a prototype for many other arenas in Europe such as the Kölnarena in Cologne, Germany.

It seems that Coldplay and the MEN Arena go hand in hand.

Last week I told how the virtually teetotal Coldplay frontman was knocking back shots at the Maddox club in London’s Mayfair. Now I hear he followed that wild night out with a boozy session at his Embrace pal Danny McNamara's North London pad. If Chris is not careful he’ll soon be joining the rehab set.

But I’m glad to learn he is now safely back in Los Angeles with his health-obsessed wife Gwyneth Paltrow. Well, I’m sure Hollywood star Gwyn will have Chris back on those macrobiotic smoothies in no time.

Well we can reveal that Chris Martin is indeed a party animal. The Coldplay star, 30, stunned revellers by downing shots of neat vodka at the Maddox members' bar in London. A spy tells us: "He was mashed. He even sang along to Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit at the top of his voice."

Bet he was back on the organic lemongrass smoothies next day.

When we saw Coldplay at Glastonbury in 1999, they were unknown and unsigned, at the bottom of the bill in the New Bands Tent. A mere three years later, they have become Michael Eavis’ favourite band and were hotly tipped to leave Glastonbury 2002 with the sort of legacy that adorn the houses of Pulp, REM, Travis and The Chemical Brothers for historic performances on the Pyramid Stage. That’s a lot of pressure, but as the power chords of new opener ‘Politik’ blasted out, it looked like they might just pull it off.

Coldplay toured for over a year, from June 2002 to September 2003, visiting five continents including co-headlining festival dates at Glastonbury Festival, V2003, and Rock Werchter. The tour showed the band's progression into a bona fide stadium act. Many shows included elaborate lighting and individualised screens reminiscent of U2's Elevation tour. During the extended tour, Coldplay also recorded a live DVD and CD, Live 2003, at Sydney's Horden Pavilion. The compilation featured a new song, "Moses".

Their Friday night headline appearance at Glastonbury 2002 was hailed as the highlight of the festival.

In case you didn't know, Thomas Dolby has a blog, which is actually quite interesting. Here's a description of a dream he had, wherein Chris Martin of Coldplay comes over to his house with some farm machinery and damages his neighbor's driveway.

I had a hilarious dream last night. I was staying at a friend’s house in the country.

A big truck pulled up towing some sort of agricultural machine with big blades. Out got Chris Martin from Coldplay. He had come to tell me he desperately needed me to join his band as keyboard player. I said he was a great keyboard player himself so why did he need me?

He said: “you know the way Mick Jagger dances? I want to to do more of that.” (!) I said look, you guys tour like 8 months of the year, and I have a family. Plus I have my own career. “Oh,” he said, “think about it: you’d get a lot more recognition as Coldplay’s keyboard player than as Thomas Dolby solo!”

This struck me as a little arrogant…. At that point I was reminded how upset it made me when they borrowed a melody from one of my all-time favourite bands, Kraftwerk. Credit or no credit, it didn’t seem fair to cash in on ‘Computer World’ when the authors are a cult electronic band and Coldplay’s the top rock band on the planet. So I told Chris I wasn’t interested. He was disappointed. As he left, his combine harvester thingy scraped the walls of my friend’s driveway. He leaned out of the window and said “Christ, I’m sorry. Tell your friend the label will pay for it!”

(Disclaimer: I’ve got nothing against Chris Martin and have no reason to believe he would ever be this way in real life! I’m just telling you my dream.)

A mole’s friend has recently begun a relationship with a nice young chap who has the unfortunate habit of constantly bragging that Chris Martin is one of his best friends. Exactly the sort of thing any sane man would keep quiet about.

Surprisingly, his claims turned out to be true, and the dead-eyed Coldplay note-botherer joined the couple for a drink. From the outset Chris was rude, aggressive and arrogant, asking a series of personal questions and jabbing his finger into the increasingly annoyed young lady’s face.

Finally, Chris turned his massive brain towards the issue of relationships, and asked the mole’s friend if she had been married or engaged before, as that always made “a better woman”.

“Oh, did Brad Pitt make Gwyneth ‘a better woman’ then?” asked the woman with wide-eyed innocence and a glint in the eye, leaving Martin open-mouthed and heading for the door.
