Just as he is on the football field, music aficionado Trevor Pryce could become a recording-industry...

Trevor Pryce's first music purchase was a Sesame Street record. More than 10,000 purchases later, the NFL star's nowhere near done. The former Broncos lineman has parlayed that fascination into the Outlook Music Company. The recording label launched by the 31-year-old in 1998 now boasts several bands - and might even have a hit on its hands from St. Louis indie rockers, Autovein.

The highest-profile releases on Trevor Pryce's Outlook Records are the two Red Rocks: Carved In Stone discs. The releases compile live tracks from the venue by the likes of U2, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Coldplay, Tori Amos, R.E.M., Willie Nelson and more.

Both are out of print, but Outlook Records will handle Volume 3 in conjunction with Starbucks, which should bring the label a much higher level of visibility.

Even so, it's the indie signings that keep Pryce excited - an alt-rock band out of St. Louis, a Denver hard-rock band, a North Carolina band he helped save from obscurity after it was dropped by a major label. All have a bent toward melody, whether it's couched in Beatlesque harmonies or crunching alt-rock metal.

Coldplay's singles box set now has a U.S. release scheduled.

The vinyl-only package The Singles 1999-2006, which will feature 7-inch pressings of the band's 14 singles and its 1999 EP The Blue Room, is due on 24th April [official MySpace confirmed]. Fans who preorder the set via the US Coldplay shop will also receive a Coldplay coffee mug.

As AFC Totton prepare to record their FA Vase final song tonight, the Daily Echo can exclusively reveal that one team member has a secret rock star past.

In his youth, goalkeeper Iain Brunnschweiler played guitar alongside Coldplay drummer Will Champion in a little-known Southampton band called Fat Hamster."

Brunnschweiler recalled: "We were quite young when we first knew each other, about 12 or 13 years old, and we used to go to the youth activities group at Highfield Church. Will lived in Portswood and I lived in Glen Eyre and we got together with another lad, David Milln, to form a three-piece band. I played the guitar and tried to sing, but I was absolute rubbish!"

While former Hampshire Cricket wicket-keeper Brunnschweiler went on to excel in sport, his old bandmates followed musical careers.

"Will went off to university at UCL in London and met up with Chris Martin and the others to form Coldplay and David's now a successful drum and bass DJ called DJ Sciphi," said the 27-year-old, who combines his Totton goalkeeping duties with the role of assistant coach at Hampshire Cricket.

He laughed: "Out of the trio, you've got one who plays in one of the world's biggest bands, one who's had some singles out as a DJ and me who's got nothing to do with music any more.Recording a song for Wembley with Totton is the height of my musical career!"

Luís Figo Foundation is promoting another All Stars soccer match in June 9th, in Alvalade Stadium (Lisbon, Portugal) and Coldplay drummer, Will Champion [pictured], will be one of the players.

According to 'Mais Futebol', Will Champion, who is a personal friend of Luís Figo, said he's very excited and obviously happy about the invitation.

He also said he's already training hard because he knows he'll be playing with big stars and he doesn't want to do bad.

South America - As an extension to the Twisted Logic tour, Coldplay recently capped off a three week tour in South America.

Once again, Laser Design Productions provided laser effects with its new compact 5 watt air cooled white light diode laser system.

The 11-date tour took in four different venues in Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sao Paolo, Brazil and Mexico City, Mexico. According to Mark Ward, Coldplay’s production manager, “The South American tour was a huge success. The new technology Laser was a great solution to the production management’s concerns of equipment size, weight, power consumption and venue water limitations. The 5 watt air cooled diode Laser provided spectacular multicolour atmospheric and beam effects.”

X17 has pictures of Gwyneth Paltrow sporting what some are calling the baby bump. She was out tile shopping this week showing not only her possible baby bump but also some pretty decent sized roots. In Gwyneth's past pregnancies she did not keep up with her blonde highlights because she felt it was unhealthy for the baby. However, we doubt she's expecting - in January, she mentioned that she and Chris were done having kids.

Gwyneth is married to Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin. Together they have two children, daughter Apple, 2 1/2, and son Moses, who will be turning 1 on Easter Sunday.

Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin has reveal how revenge against a school bully was a "pretty sweet" dish.

Speaking to the Sun, the 30-year-old musician told of how he was picked on at the posh Dorset school Sherborne for being, in his own words, "a bit of a swot" that preferred playing the piano and guitar over sports.

While out and about with his Hollywood beauty of a wife Gwyneth Paltrow, who he married three years ago and has two children with, Chris happened to see the boy who made his school days "hell" and couldn't resist a bit of revenge.

"He was a bully who always said I wouldn’t make anything of myself," he added.

But the Yellow singer left his former school pal red-faced. "I had great pleasure asking what he was up to now. He wasn’t up to much. Then I turned around and said, 'This is my wife Gwyneth.' His face dropped and he looked really embarrassed."

"It was a proud moment. I’m not one to get my own back and look for revenge — but that was pretty sweet," a smug Chris told the newspaper.

And can you deny the man a bit of sweet revenge? He may have been the school geek but with 8.3 million copies of Coldplay's last album sold in 2005, Chris and his Hollywood wife are laughing all the way to the bank.

The world of music was shocked earlier on today when popular musician Chris Martin said he was leaving the music business to focus work on growing Watermelons.

"The weight of making a 4th album was getting too much, with the record label wanting to put out a greatest hits to ease it's finanical pressure" said Martin in an press statement.

Coldplay's hit include "Ode to Deodorant", "Yellow" and most recent hit "The Hardest Part". There was nobody from EMI records to answer the phone because it's a Sunday. The Compete Coldplay Singles Collection Vinyl Boxset came out last monday (26th March) to purchase, and X&Y was a very big album in 2005.

For someone with a reputation for penning such easy-going songs, Coldplay's Chris Martin certainly has a sharp tongue!

Much to the British balladeer's frustration, we spotted Martin leaving with his wife Gwyneth Paltrow after a nice lunch at Ivy On The Shore, with the couple getting in their car separately to prevent the paps from catching them together.

As you'll see in the video, Chris certainly wasn't too happy to see us - sorry Chris, we never meant to cause you trouble! They don't want to be filmed getting in a car together? WTF, guys, you're married - I think the world might be on to your secret!

Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice, Canadian indie-rockers Arcade Fire and Blur frontman Damon Albarn's new band have been announced as headliners for the Latitude festival this summer.

Though there is some disappointment from fans who had hoped for performers such as Joni Mitchell and even Coldplay, estate manager Hektor Rous, son of the Earl of Stradbroke, said it was not just about the music.

Meanwhile at Glastonbury, acts confirmed for the festival include the Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Damien Rice, Bjork and The Who. The full line-up is still to be announced, although rumours are rife U2 and Coldplay could take the remaining headline spots.

Less fascinating to realise they're no Smiths when it comes to revisit-worthy B-sides: dreary acousti-rock slurry to a man (except '1.36' and 'Things I Don't Understand'). Wait for the stonking Greatest Hits.
