The rock band is going to perform its score in the track "Part Of The Plan".

No report yet as to which member and how many of them are contributing in this song. The closest probability is pointed to the lead singer, Chris Martin who is also in process of producing song "Homecoming" for Kanye West's new album.

"Part Of The Plan" is going to be Swizz's second single from the album "One Man Band Man" after "It's Me Bitches". The album itself is due to out on May 15 via Universal Motown and besides Coldplay a lot of producers like Snags, Just Blaze and Kanye West are also involved. Tying several known names, Swizz refused to weigh on their names. "I didn't want my album to be like I was leaning on a whole bunch of other artists like crutches," he said.

Swizz is an African American rapper, producer and co-founder of music label Full Surface Records. He is known for his upbeat tunes and his ability to finish a song within 10 to 15 minutes. The radio friendly version, "It's Me, Snitches," has gotten some spins and now, he's speaking about what he calls his first real album One Man Band Man.

"I was just drunk," he told Billboard of his first single. "I didn't want to go out to the club, so I just chilled in the studio. I knew I had a concept for the song, so I went in the booth and it just came out."

Although the album will feature production/collaborations with Kanye West, Just Blaze, Chris Martin (Of Coldplay) and other producers, Swizz noted that he wants to stand alone, as well.

"I didn't want my album to be like I was leaning on a whole bunch of other artists like crutches," he added. The stark social inequalities were so apparent in Brazil, and things are no different here. There is a burgeoning middle class in Mexico, but a huge proportion of Mexicans are trapped in poverty, with few signs that things are going to change anytime soon.

The press here have picked up on a quote from Chris that Oxfam put out before the tour started. Chris says that Mexico is a great country with delicious tortillas - but that the tortillas taste so much better when they're made from Mexican maize. It's a great quote, and has caught the imagination of the press, and, it seems, the country. Maize originated in Mexico, and it's not only a staple food and a mass employer, but also a part of Mexican culture.

So when the rural Mexican maize farmers are struggling to survive due to cheap US maize being dumped on the market here, it stirs up some deep passions. And at the concert tonight, that same passion turned into action, as hundreds of concert-goers signed the Make Trade Fair petition. Now that's campaigning!

Read the full updated blog Read the updated blog here

[Mexico 03/03/2007] No 'Shiver' For Mexican Fans | Reviews/Pictures

Well, finally Coldplay are in Mexico. I was in last night's gig and it was brilliant. The way they connect to people is great, as their way to play live. Chris speaked in spanish all the time I remember some things he said like: How is our favourite audience in the whole world?

And he asked for silence while they played 'til kingdom come also in spanish! I think Chris & Johnny were really exited, when the played In my place, Chris came out of the stage and ran through the left hall and I could touched him and watched him in front of me, Will of course was in the drums all the concert, and Guy...he didn't even move his feet from the ground, except when Chris pulled him to the middle of the stage.

I got the chance to see them when they came out of the hotel in their way to the concert, but they just waved the hand. after the concert I saw Johnny & Will coming out of the hotel, but the didn't say something. So far, they haven't signed autographs or taken pix with any fan wich is really sad cause personally, I've waited for them since last thursday, friday, saturday and nothing....maybe today I'll have good luck and I can get closer to them.

SETLIST

Square One

Politik

Yellow

Speed Of Sound

God Put A Smile Upon Your Face

What If

Sparks

Daylight

White Shadows

The Scientist

Til Kingdom Comes

Love Me Tender

Clocks

Talk

——————————

Trouble

In My Place

Fix You

You can see pictures of the gig here. The band are loving this tour - the audiences are amazing, and because they're playing smaller venues than normal, the boys are feeling really connected with the audience (mostly because Chris only has to reach out and the front row grab hold of him!).

And what's great is that the campaigning here in Brazil is going fantastically well too. We're definitely the most popular stall in the lobby - I feel like we're putting one over the big corporate sponsors who are here too!

On Monday night, we had a super team of volunteers, who managed to put tattoos on at least half the crowd.
Happy birthday to Chris Martin, who turns 30 today, on the eve of the first gig in Mexico during Coldplay's current Latin America Tour.

More on this here [thanks anniep_93]

Coldplay's Chris Martin is an accomplished musician in the alternative music field. Chris Martin was born in England on March 2, 1977. His band Coldplay, won the Grammy for "Clocks" in 2004. Chris Martin has teamed up with various other musicians to produce solo recordings. His latest joint effort with JayZ's comeback performance at the Royal Albert Hall in September 2006 produced a collaborative song, "Beach Chair."

Chris Martin has produced a joint recordings with Nelly Furtado, "All Good Things Come to an End." He sang and collaborated on the music for Band Aid 20 which included, "Do They Know It's Christmas. " Chris is naturally left handed, but he plays guitar with his right hand. His favorite instruments are the Telecaster guitar and the Hot Rod Deville 210 Amps. He also uses the Yamaha GT20 Digital Piano.

Chris Martin has an active social concern side. He is an advocate of making trade fair to under developed countries. He is a member of Oxfam's Make Trade Fair. Oxfam is a federation of thirteen independent secular and non-profit groups operating in over 100 countries. The mission of Oxfam is to bring about the reduction of poverty, suffering and injustice to emerging nations. In particular Chris has visited Ghana and Haiti to promote social justice in the work place and advocated fair trade practices. His degree in Ancient World Studies provides a background in the appreciation of diverse cultures.

In his personal life, he is married to the exceptional actress and environmental activist Gwyneth Paltrow. The couple share a vision of a world where they hope their two young children Apple and Moses will be able to enjoy the richness of diversity. Interestingly, Chris is the great, great, grandson of William Willett, (1856-1915), the inventor of Daylight Savings. Many attribute the idea to Ben Franklin due to a letter he wrote lamenting that people should get up earlier in the morning.

It was William Willett who put it into action. After seeing so many blinds down on his horse rides around his neighborhood, he decided something needed to be done about extending the daylight hours. Using his own financial resources, Mr. Willett published the pamphlet, "The Waste of Daylight," in 1907. His idea was embraced by various English leaders, but it was not until the outbreak of World War 1 that Parliament enacted a version of Daylight Savings in 1916.

Unfortunately, Mr. Willett passed away in 1915, never witnessing his great fete. Today a memorial to Mr. Willett may be seen at Petts Wood in England. The memorial is a sun dial permanently set for Daylight Savings. It appears the ancestral link in seeking light amidst forms of darkness is apparent.

Source: http://www.associatedcontent.com

Coldplay promises to come back to São Paulo soon
