Coldplay are looking likely to return to Glastonbury for a fifth time, as they have been heavily tipped by bookmakers to headline Glastonbury 2016. The band were also tipped for this year's festival but the British four-piece have been busy, with the recording of their seventh studio album, 'A Head Full Of Dreams'.

"Bookies William Hill have given Coldplay odds of 4/1 to headline the Pyramid Stage, having last headlined the event in 2011.

Coldplay duo, Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland have spoken out over the media reports of a split.

Since the infamous Zane Lowe interview, at the end of 2014, where the band's frontman announced 'A Head Full Of Dreams' as the title of Coldplay's seventh record (much to the annoyance of his fellow band mates), many media outlets decided to read into Chris' quote (below) as the band breaking up after LP7.

Coldplay's lead singer and guitarist were asked about this, by Elvis Duran at their iHeart Radio Music Festival appearance last night and Chris repeated their view that 'A Head Full Of Dreams' is the completion of a story.

Chris Martin then revealed how Coldplay's upcoming album has been in the pipeline for a while:

The general consensus within the Coldplaying community is, LP8 will be very different and there's likely to be a long break after 'A Head Full Of Dreams'. Where do they go after that, nobody knows but there could be an exciting new chapter.

Future Coldplay Discussion (Post-AHFOD)

Fellow fansite, Coldplay France have been told by Phil Harvey, the band's creative director and fifth member that Coldplay will visit France, before the end of 2015! Rumours of a European tour this November/December have been rife and this is set to happen, as Coldplay are close to the release of their seventh record.

Coldplay performed a few shows in Stade De France, Paris during their Mylo Xylotour in 2012, which ended up as the famous filming location for 'Coldplay Live 2012'.

An arena tour, followed by a stadium tour next summer is likely to happen. We'll keep you updated as soon as we know any details of upcoming shows.

[REMINDER] Coldplay's Live Return In Vegas Tonight - 18th September

It isn’t everyday that bands with massive international followings pick India as the location for their music videos. And when they do, star-struck India responds in the most overjoyed ways, mostly on social media, and by means of hastily hash-tagging, compulsively sharing leaked pictures on their profile, and expressing regret at not spotting the band themselves.

We spoke with a crew member from production team that worked on the video that Coldplay shot in Mumbai’s Worli village last week and got him to spill the beans about it. Here’s what he said:

“First of all, it was thrilling to be part of this massive international project. The video is being produced by Mumbai-based companies The 120 Media Collective and Bang Bang Films, and LA firm Black Dog Films. Ahead of the three-day shoot, we [the crew] spent around 15 days and went through sleepless nights doing research, scouting locations, finalizing the background cast and getting all the logistics in order. The basic idea of the video was to showcase the vibrant Indian culture and the people.

It took us the entire night to set up the performance space as per the brief from the director; the video features a gola cart, pani puri stall, rangoli, flowers as well as a fishermen’s settlement. On the shoot day, before the band arrived on the set, we populated the space with the junior cast that comprised mostly of women, kids and fisherfolk from Worli village. As the director wanted them to be in most of the frames, the shots show the people cheering for the band when they start performing. Production-wise, it was very difficult for us to control the chaotic crowd and direct them to take their positions for the shots. But we managed somehow!

There was also a kite-flying sequence that we shot on a terrace for which we used GoPros and Alexa cameras. But one of the best parts of the video is when vocalist Chris Martin and the other band members (Jonny Buckland [lead guitars], Will Champion [drummer] and Guy Berryman [bass]) attempt a few stunts with a bunch of kids, which received a thunderous response from the crowd, with women waving out their hands and throwing Holi colours on the band. After the shoot got over, Chris thanked all the people who were part of the video. It was quite heartwarming to see that sight.”

15th October 2015 update: Sound engineer, Dan Green and Roadie (#42), Miller are thought to have been pictured at Abbey Road studios in London, testing out the new Xylobands. It seems almost certain the much loved concert accessory will be part of Coldplay concerts once more. (See above picture)

Noticed the Indian theme in the background? The band have taken much inspiration from their recent music video filming in India.

Xylobands have released a taster clip of the illuminating wristbands and how they could play a part (again) in Coldplay's next world tour! In their tantalizing preview video, 'Charlie Brown', from the 'Live 2012' film is played from the TV screen, as their new iPad controlled Xylobands glow, in rhythm to crowd pleasing tune from 'Mylo Xyloto'.

News of Xylobands 2.0 came to the fore, last August, when it was revealed that the new wristbands would change colour, rather than flashing in the same colour. We then saw the plain white Xylobands in action at the BBC Music Awards, last December, as Coldplay lit up Earls Court in London during 'A Sky Full Of Stars'. The new iPad compatibility is very impressive and we suspect the lighting effects have been fine-tuned since their BBC Awards appearance.

The iconic live album, 'Coldplay Live 2003' was released on November 10th 2003. It featured 12 tracks on the audio CD, including the likes of 'Shiver', 'Yellow' and 'In My Place'. Tunes, such as 'Trouble' and 'Daylight' didn't feature on the official audio CD, only on the DVD release. Another track which didn't make the cut onto the CD version was 'What A Wonderful World', the classic song, originally recorded by Louis Armstrong.

13 years later, Coldplay's version of the popular classic, 'What A Wonderful World' has made it onto the Coldplaying Multimedia forum, with a HUGE thanks to 'thetwinparadox', who has posted the unreleased cover for the first time! He's edited and remastered the whole Live 2003 CD (EMI Promo version), to include the complete concert. Stunning job!

One week after the controversial closure of children's charity, Kids Company, Coldplay are looking to save one of its educational facilities. Named 'the Treehouse' in London, the therapeutic educational unit has been open since 2009, when Kids Company founded the institution, which aids vulnerable families and young people.

Coldplay's creative director and much appreciated fifth member, Phil Harvey spoke out about the potential 'takeover':

This is contrary to various online reports, which suggest Coldplay are looking to save Kids Company itself, who are under media scrutiny post-closure. Coldplaying understands that this bid is for 'the Treehouse' only.

'Kids Company saga' - info & discussion

Terrible news this evening as children's charity, Kids Company has closed down (as of 19:00 GMT), amid allegations of financial mis-management, from UK government officials. The charity has made a huge difference to children's lives since 1996 and is cause, which has been close to Coldplay's hearts.

The saga involving the charity's finances had been going on since last year, when their funding was slashed, prompting the charity's founder, Camila Batmanghelidjhs to request an advance of Coldplay's annual £1.3 million donation (the band have privately funded Kids Company since 2009). The charismatic founder of the charity was recently asked to resign by government officials, who displayed serious doubts over the charity's ability to manage itself financially. Last week, they were given £3 million in extra funding but the cabinet office said they were "unable to move to a sustainable financial position" and have subsequently closed.

Coldplay are confirmed as performers at the Global Citizen Festival in New York, this September! The band haven't played live since the BBC and NRJ music awards, in December 2014. Chris Martin has billed himself and his band-mates in for the charity concert as a 'last resort', because of other acts, such as Rihanna pulling out of the concert for various reasons. According to photos from The Daily Mail, Coldplay seem to be initiating a recording session, for Angelia Jolie, as the now turned director and her celebrity husband, Brad Pitt were spotted following Chris Martin and Guy Berryman into Air studios in London. Angelina has a new film, titled 'By The Sea' due out in November.

Coldplay's latest single release was 'Miracles' at the end of 2014, taken from the 'Unbroken' film soundtrack, directed by Angelina Jolie. Based on the studio activity, we could be hearing a follow up to the popular track among Coldplayers, soon!

Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin was spotted at the 2015 Glastonbury festival last night. He was spending time with Gwyneth Paltrow and his kids, while enjoying the 'Happy' singer, Pharrell Williams and the controversial Kanye West. Chris didn't join the 'Homecoming' rapper on stage, despite wishful rumours on Twitter during the concert. Comedian, Lee Nelson decided to join him instead!

A massive landmark in Coldplay's history, as their 2005 and 2011 performances at the historic Glastonbury Festival in Worthy Farm, UK took place 10 and 4 years, to this day!

Coldplay are rumoured to be kicking off their next tour in South America, after their 2013 cancellations. Rumours of Coldplay concerts in Brazil have been popping up over the last few days. According to the Grêmio Arena president, negotiations are taking place for Coldplay to perform in Porto Alegrense.

The first acoustic guitar of Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin has just sold at auction for £18,750, at Bonhams Knightsbridge in London. 5) Life In Technicolor ii

Jonny Buckland and Phil Harvey named this music video, featuring the band in puppet form as their favourite clip to have filmed. In Jonny's case, he didn't have to do much (he doesn't like video shoots!) but Phil, Coldplay's creative director starred in a cameo role, watching the puppets do their thing!

4) Speed Of Sound

'Speed Of Sound' was Coldplay's grand return, for their third album 'X&Y' and the accompaying video featured the band performing in front of a vivid LED display, on a Los Angeles based sound stage. The LED background was designed to match Chris Martin's vocals during the song and the result was an eye catching video, which was inescapable on music channels in 2005 and remains a firm fan favourite over 10 years on.

3) Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

Visually, 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall', the first single from 'Mylo Xyloto' perfectly summed up the colourful nature of the record. The video was shot at a derelict building in Millennium Mills, east London and was directed by Mat Whitecross once again, who used a 'stop start' technique in front of the colourful graffiti backdrop, designed by their artwork creator for said album, Paris. It's one of Coldplay's most energetic music videos and continues to be a glowing inspiration for fans of the uplifting track.

2) Strawberry Swing

A unique, largely animation based video for the uplifting 'Viva' track. Fans went nuts for the escapade as 'superhero' Chris Martin, presumably playing the role of Umbrella Man, encountered a well-equipped squirrel. The lyrics of 'Lost', "You may be a big fish in a little pond..." were fitting for this video, as Chris gets swallowed by a over-sized fish, during his quest to rescue the princess, from the claws of the evil squirrel! It's mad, yes, and we all love it!

1) The Scientist

Here it is, the most popular Coldplay music video among fans, which comes as no surprise! 90 million views on a 2002 music clip, re-uploaded 4 years ago is not bad at all, as it ranks #3 behind 'Paradise' and 'Viva La Vida' in total view counts. The video itself, which the 'Magic' and 'True Love' director wanted to originally film was directed by Jamie Thraves. Coldplay's lead singer had to spend a few months learning to sing the song backwards. Chris walks backwards through the streets of London and other nearby locations for the story, where Chris' female passenger flies out of a car windscreen, after a car accident.  The band won big at the MTV Video Music Awards, gaining Best Group Video, Best Direction, and Breakthrough Video for the now legendary video!

Meanwhile, Coldplay's frontman is back in London and was spotted at Hyde Park in London, Thursday night, watching Indie band, 'The Strokes'. No doubt, he was loving the tunes from their first album, 'Is This It', which he named as 'the best album of the past 15 years' during an interview with NME in 2011.

Gwyneth Paltrow also joined Chris at the event, according to The Daily Mail.
