Over certain years, mainly around 2006, Chris Martin's barnets were the center of attention! British Newspaper, The Sun, in 2006 put it this way:

Chris Martin drinks fizzy water in the pub, eats a macrobiotic diet, has a daughter called Apple and wears electrical tape instead of jewellery. So the latest pictures of the Coldplay singer in New York sporting a bird’s nest on his head, left, comes as no surprise.

The newspaper clip was published 9 years today. Coldplay's frontman has since found a new barber and prefers the simplicity of short hair. Besides, those long curly locks wouldn't be too practical in the often scorching Los Angeles sun, would it?

Still, there are many admirers of the Chris' messy and curly locks, so here's an ode to them:

[On This Day] Keane's Tim Rice-Oxley was almost Coldplay's keyboard player

10 years ago, as Coldplay were gearing up for world domination, shortly after the announcement of third album, 'X&Y', Keane's guitarist, Tim Rice-Oxley had revealed: He was close to being Coldplay's fifth member / keyboard player!

Keane were still riding on the success of their debut album, called 'Hopes and Fears'. They were part of the many British 'indie' bands who were ruling the charts during the mid-noughties and the have frequently drawn comparisons to the sound of fellow British band, Coldplay. Speaking to Contact Music in 2005, Tim told us of the idea to become a Coldplay band mate, with his friend, Chris Martin. He also felt envious of Coldplay's success and wandered 'What If'?

Chris Martin and I were friends, and we were both in just-starting-up bands. They were toying with the idea of getting a keyboard player and he asked me, but the idea was junked. It was a two-edged sword watching Coldplay have all this success. We all felt envious. But it’s worked out well for both of us

Coldplay Live 2003/Live 2012

Taking a look back at Coldplay’s two major live releases, (2003 + 2012) it’s hard not to think how far they’ve come along in size and stature. Live 2003 and MX Live follow their live tour in support of A Rush Of Blood To The Head and Mylo Xyloto respectively. Sandwiched in between this long gap was the presence of two other massive albums in the form of X&Y and Viva La Vida. Therefore, it would be 9 years before fans could enjoy the splendour of an official live dvd the first documenting the A Rush Of Blood To The Head Tour in 2003 and the latter delivering us the full colour and flourish of the MX Tour in 2012).

Ever since they made a groundbreaking super sub headline appearance at Glastonbury in 2002, Chris Martin and co have long had a reputation of gracing and owning the stage they've performed on with their endless collection of communal pop hymns, gracing every kind of town hall, arena and stadium seen on this earth. As Glastonbury 2002 proved, this was a band going places, a band that could have the audience in the palm of its hands with their collection of sweet, melancholic pop/rock music that made them such a commercial and critical success at the turn of the century.

But what of these two major live releases from Coldplay? Visually the two performances are light years away. The first, a rather,grey and austere affair that very much reflects the moody and earnest nature of their first two albums the second a flourish of lights, colour and big bangs – from performers to show men. In their attire, gone was the look that resembled the substitute teacher look a decade previously and in its place something that resembled something closer to a wacky kids tv presenter!

Coldplay are certainly not the band they used to be in sound or appearance but at the same time they’re not a band to have conjured up a new formula ala Radiohead or U2. More or less they’ve stuck to what they know best but greatly embellished within a cocoon of new sounds, confidence and importantly for them, comfort. Live 2012 releases all the shackles that Live 2003 displayed. It’s a lush display in appearance and performance. The Mylo Xyloto tunes in their live format take on a whole new energised life of their own compared to their studio recordings, best displayed no more than in their opening song, ‘Hurts Like Heaven’. Driven by a relentless performance on guitar by Jonny Buckland it successfully combines John Squire like pop guitar sweetness with massive doses of adrenaline. It sets the scene and the tone of a show that never touches the ground until the very end. It is a performance to get caught up in and even marvel at. Chris Martin has come a long way in his time as a frontman as well. A modest but affable nature on stage hasn’t prevented him from developing into one of the most well rounded showmen of his time. And showmen they are. They get it right from the off – assisted by flashing wristbands that flash in sync with the music, it’s an awe inspiring, highly competent performance where every member of the audience feels like they are participating in the grand spectacle. Perhaps Charlie Brown displayed this better than any other song in their catalogue, taking stadium pop to a whole new level. People can accuse the band of gimmicks, but with stadium anthems as good as Charlie Brown, In My Place and Yellow, the lights, fireworks and confetti only serves to support the spectacle that is already in place thanks to the sheer pop quality of those tunes. It’s something that even U2 would look at and think ‘damn, why didn’t we think of that?’

Of course some might say the music has suffered in the process – Coldplay are a far more energetic, upbeat pop band on Mylo Xyloto, a departure from the melancholy moods exhibited so beautifully perfected on A Rush of Blood to the Head. To a lot of those who fell in love with the band in that earlier period, that is a tough transition to accept.

People like to be comforted by the duvet of melancholy on a rainy day and Coldplay did that better than anyone else in the early 00s. Live 2003 satisfies those meandering sobered souls in abundance. This is a performance from a time of a more stripped back and restrained era. Naturally sing along moments are rare compared with MX Live but in the absence of these songs we are served performances of songs that we’d be lucky to hear again on the stage. Performances including never cut to CD ‘Moses’, ‘In My Place’ b side ‘One I Love’ and the truly beautiful ‘See You Soon’ are standout moments that are gold dust to the hardcore Coldplay fan.

Instead of revelling in a big budget, glitzy production (both musically and aesthetically) we get something so pure and introspective from the band, quite a change from the confident and greater ease of performance put on show in Live 2012. The lyrics throughout are personal and ambiguous, enhanced by Chris Martin’s vulnerable delivery. One other thing that is striking is the maturity displayed by the band throughout, not just in the songs but the performance. One would be forgiven for thinking that Live 2012 with its vibrant and energetic confidence was the performance of a band only starting out, not Live 2003. For the Coldplay purist (of which there are many!), Live 2003 is a vital and precious ornament within the discography. While it may lack the style and glitziness of their later tours it is packed full of substance and Live 2003 and 2012 may be different in style and feeling but one that factor of guitarist Jonny Buckland’s serene and beautiful guitar work continues to be the tidal force that carries Martin’s already robust vocal melodies on its way. That magical chemistry between frontman and guitarist and that talent for melody from both remains a constant ingredient by which the band continue to satisfy the desire and appetite of its audience whether it’s in the intimate surroundings of a small arena or a gigantic world class football stadium.

Their detractors will always remain but such voices will always be drowned out by their energetic, triumphant and vibrant stage performances, an act that they’ve been able to perfect and expand upon with each live tour.

Co-creator of The Simpsons passes away at the age of 59

Sam Simon, one of the co-creators of The Simpsons, has died at the age of 59.

Sam was giving away most of his fortune to charity. His foundation, the Sam Simon Foundation, confirmed the news on Facebook on Monday. “It is with much sadness that we must let you know that Sam Simon has passed over,” the announcement read.

Simon, 59, was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer in 2012, and told he had only three to six months left to live. He survived that diagnosis, and in 2014, he said he was planning to donate $100 million of his fortune to charity, mostly to animal organizations. “I think that my passion for the animals and against animal abuse is based on the knowledge that these creatures who feel and think can’t speak for themselves and they’re dependent on us for that,” he said in an interview last year.

Elsewhere during the interview, Simon said he was able to stay positive despite his diagnosis.

Somehow, I ended up surrounded by people that love me and take care of me and will do anything for me,” he said. “It’s a good feeling. That’s called happiness.

The rejected artwork from Coldplay's song - 'Atlas'

The rejected artwork for Coldplay's 2013 single, from the Hunger Games : Catching Fire soundtrack, Atlas has surfaced online. Never seen before - Chris Martin jokes about Ghost Stories album cover!

Our Facebook page has hit 30,000 likes! Thank you so much all your likes, comments and shares on Coldplaying FB :) I want to share with you a funny speech from Chris Martin, which I didn't get round to publishing during the time of the Ghost Stories Art Exhibition in December 2014.

It involves all members of the band, including fifth member (creative boss), Phil Harvey. Chris comments on the album cover for Ghost Stories, before it was decided Mila Fürstová would be designing the artwork for the record and Guy's handsome looks. It's a gem of a quote, enjoy!

Chris Martin : "When Phil said, "Should have an album cover for this album", Jonny said it should be a picture of me! Will, our drummer said, "well, that could work, what about a picture of me?", then we all agreed on a picture of Guy, who is our handsomest, with all due respect to the four of us. He is our handsomest member and sells all of our calenders. In concert, most girls look his way! Phil said, "fella's, it's not going to work, you're nearly 50!"

Will Coldplay join Foo Fighters as Glastonbury headliners?

The rumours of Coldplay performing at this year's Glastonbury festival have been rife and we won't have long to wait until an official announcement is made.

Foo Fighters have only just confirmed that they will be headlining on the Friday night, with Saturday and Sunday night's acts set to be announced very soon! It's unlikely that Coldplay will be headlining Glastonbury this year but I wouldn't completely rule out a surprise announcement.

Lead guitarist, Jonny Buckland, during a recent Q&A session, with bassist, Guy Berryman told us how their involvement with Glastonbury would depend on the progress of their upcoming album, A Head Full Of Dreams.

An online ticket retailer fueled rumours a few weeks ago by stating their belief that the band will be appearing at Glastonbury 2015 but has now retracted it's statement.

Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin enjoys a solid friendship with Foo Fighters singer, Dave Grohl and appeared on the rocker's recent documentary series, Sonic Highways.

It would take something special to top 2011, in which U2 and Beyonce headlined on either side of Coldplay's Saturday set at Worthy Farm, UK. Add Foo Fighters with Coldplay and that's already a mouthwatering combo! Not to mention the annual covers.

U2 performed a cover of Coldplay's second ever single, Yellow at Glasto 2011. The mammoth band which Chris Martin eventually went on to cover as it's frontman, for one special night.

A Coldplay cover of The Beatles song, We Can Work It Out is set for a DVD release soon, over 3 years on since the band originally performed it in Los Angeles at the Sir Paul McCartney tribute for 'Musicares. The show was never heard or broadcast in public before but it debuted on Sky Arts in the UK a few weeks ago. Atlas2000 on the forums has kindly extracted the audio for us. We are still waiting on a video of the performance though.

Coldplay heading to the U.S. Capital for Global Citizen festival?

Coldplay could be one of the headline acts for the Global Citizen festival, as their frontman, Chris Martin has signed up as an organizer for the anti-poverty charity, as previously reported.

As we learnt, Chris will be using his range of A-list contacts to bring in new supporters of the great cause, in the bid to end poverty by the end of the Coldplay frontman's tenure (2030).

The first set of festivals to be held under this sweeping pledge will take place in Washington D.C. on April 18th, followed by Germany on June 7th. You can add those dates to the list of potential Coldplay appearences, along with a confirmed show with 'Why Not People?' sometime this year.

Although he has no need for introductions, the smiling Chris Martin took to the stage for his welcome as an Ambassador of the charity (below). Chris speaks more about his involvement within a new Billboard.com interview.

Ambassador Chris Martin moves a step closer to major honour

We have a few news updates on Coldplay's charismatic frontman, Chris Martin, as he seemingly treads towards being the perfect role model in every way! This week, he keeps his feet on the ground while posing fans and takes on a new responsibility, for 15 years

Chris Martin - Curator of Global Citizen Festival

Chris Martin has signed up for an Ambassadorial role with the Anti-poverty group, Global Citizen and he will serve as the charity organisation's Curator.

The singer, who has given much of his time to charitable causes, spoke about his new role in his personal life:

In an interview, Mr. Martin said he hoped to use his celebrity contacts to bring attention to the organization’s causes, including issues of extreme poverty, gender equality and environmental sustainability. “I felt like we often do these events and ask everyone else to get involved in something and then go back on tour,” he said. “It’s nice to have something more concrete, for people to recognize that someone else is invested for the long haul.”

The role “just entails going through my phone to work out who to ask what,” he added of his A-list contact list.

For three years, Global Citizen has hosted a concert in Central Park — featuring artists like Jay Z, Carrie Underwood, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder — to coincide with the United Nations General Assembly. This year, in addition to the September show on the Great Lawn, produced by Ken Ehrlich, Global Citizen is organizing an Earth Day event on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on April 18, and another in Germany on June 7, timed to the G7 conference of world leaders.

The events are all free, with tickets rewarded through a “gameified” system, Mr. Evans said, in which users are asked to take various “actions,” like writing letters to politicians, volunteering or signing petitions.

This year marks the end of the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals, a 2000 blueprint to address international issues like the spread of AIDS and universal education. September will see the launch of a new set of goals agreed upon by the U.N.

“The last 15 years have been the most successful anti-poverty push in human history,” Mr. Evans said. “It’s statistically possible to end extreme poverty in the next 15 years. Our job is to create the political and social will around that.”

For his part, Mr. Martin said, “If Taylor Swift is on the same stage as some goals, more kids in school are going to say, ‘Well, what is that?’ The role of musicians is to just help that pill be swallowed a bit easier because of the glamour of song.”

Update on Freedom of Exeter award

Good news. The path has been paved for Chris Martin to be honoured for the 'freedom' of his hometown in Exeter, South West England. We previously reported on the campaign to get recognition for Coldplay's frontman last year. The campaign didn't have the ideal ending in 2014, as humble Chris Martin didn't feel like he deserved it at that moment in time.

When the council set up a meeting to discuss whether Chris should get honoured, they didn't have a set of guidelines on considering creative professions such as Musicians. This has changed and now future nominations will also be decided by the following criteria:

For those who have achieved national, international or world recognition for excellence in their particular field of expertise (be it business, entrepreneurial, sport or any other area);

The Devonshire born singer has still left the door open to the award in the future and with these new guidelines, it should happen sooner without a lengthy process and we hope that Coldplay will return to Exeter once more, like in 2009 to celebrate Chris' inevitable achievement.

Chris Martin and Beck will duet at the GRAMMY Awards 2015

Coldplay's frontman will duet with singer-songwriter Beck to perform a song from Beck's latest album, at this year's GRAMMY Awards, which will air this Sunday 8th February at 8pm Eastern time (US).

Coldplay are up for three awards at this year's ceremony and will be hoping to win big, as they did in 2009!

'On My Way Home' not recorded by Coldplay

'On My Way Home', a new song title, thought to be a new Coldplay song, with possible inclusion on Rihanna's upcoming soundtrack or even the next Coldplay album has been recorded by an urban group called PENTATONIX.

The song has Coldplay listed as writers but it's believed to be for the lyrics within PENTATONIX's song, "lights go down" which is included on Coldplay's song, Charlie Brown (Thanks Coldplayzone.it). So our favourite band, at least, are receiving royalties for that portion of lyrics. The picture listed below includes multiple writers from PENTATONIX, connecting the two together.

If you were on Twitter earlier today, you may of seen a giant Coldplay fanpage conversation, as we were all confused when the news was originally posted by @AwardChris and @Coldplayatlas but we now have a likely explanation, show above.

On My Way Home has most likely being consigned to the dustbin of possible Coldplay song titles but with so many possiblities for the band's next album, A Head Full Of Dreams, we still wouldn't rule the title out completely....

NME - Glastonbury 2015 and next Coldplay album rumours

NME magazine have written a small piece on Coldplay's next album, A Head Full Of Dreams and on rumours that the band will be playing at Glastonbury 2015. We also have a piece of Coldplay gold for you in the form of a special Mylo Xyloto article for NME subscribers, re-uploaded from 2011!

"When Chris Martin replied to a chat show host's inquiry as to whether Coldplay would be touring 2014's 'Ghost Stories' with a curt 'no', you'll have been forgiven for thinking his and Gwyneth Paltrow's conscious uncoupling had left him destroyed - not so. It turns out that last year's low key, electro-ballad 'mope fest' was always intended to be swiftly followed by a more commericial accompaniment, tentatively titled 'A Head Full Of Dreams', and world tour. And that, folks, might be farewell. Martin has hinted at the band undergoing a conscious 'unrockulating' after this album. 'It's like the last Harry Potter book", he said. 'Not to say there might not be another thing one day...'. There's also speculation that Coldplay could headline Glastonbury 2015, suggesting a summer-friendly release."

New Coldplay song title, 'On My Way Home' registered with PRS

A new Coldplay song title has been added to the PRS database, a copyright and performance rights organisation. Titles such as Mylo Xyloto in 2011 were registered on PRS before release. The apparent new song, On My Way Home could feature on Coldplay's next album, A Head Full Of Dreams or even on Rihanna's soundtrack for the new Dreamworks film, Home.

On My Way Home, with writing credits listed from the whole band becomes the second unknown title of late, along with Radio Dial - Waltz in B Minor which appears to be influenced by Chris Martin's love for classic composer, Chopin.

Great Expectations and Love In A Lethal Dose are among Coldplay song titles which have never been released but lets hope these songs see the light of day! If On My Way Home is penned for the Home film soundtrack (another clue being the title), we could expect to hear it this March, when the film is shown across cinemas.

Stars such as David Beckham and Lionel Richie were part of the impressive celebrity line up for Coco Lee's 40th Birthday. Coldplay's frontman, apart from playing Clocks and Paradise (which you can see below), also performed the chorus of Imagine and Yueguangairen alongside Coco (non-Coldplay).

Happy St. Odes Day! (9 years today)

9 years ago, the rarest Coldplay rare of them all appeared online - Ode To Deodorant. The recording, which was a demo and never professionally released, surfaced on the Coldplaying.com forums much to the amazement and pure delight of fans worldwide.

The accompanying photo of The Coldplay's cassette features a contact phone number, which belonged to Coldplay's manager back then (and now creative boss), Phil Harvey. The number, unsurprisingly went out of service, sometime after it's origin date in 1998! After many months of waiting and over 120 pages of discussion by fans on the Coldplaying.com messageboard, the elusive and -- until now -- rarely heard demo tape of Ode to Deodorant has at last been uploaded!

Accompanied by the earliest version of Brothers and Sisters, "Ode" has until now been unavailable to most fans for listening. The amusing lyrics are accompanied by what can only be described as early Coldplay, but clearly foreshadow the music fans have come to love.

February dawned upon us and Coldplay's sixth album seemed closer, yet so far away. A new Coldplay song, Magic was listed as a single, for release in May of the same year in the UK chart release schedule, which in turn brought hype and speculation to what Magic may sound like. It was a very quiet time during the first half of the month on the Coldplay front. The calm before the dawn!

Comeback show?

On the 19th February, Anchorman released news of the band's comeback show at the iTunes festival, in March, located in Austin, Texas.

for the Mylo Xyloto era.

Producer announced

Paul Epworth was announced as a producer for Coldplay's forthcoming album a few days after the iTunes festival announcement. The famous producers involvement on the sixth Coldplay record seemed likely and pictures involving the band emerged on Paul's instagram at the end of 2013, as reported by Coldplayzone and VivaColdplay. For those unfamilar with Paul Epworth's work, he produced the record smashing album, 21 by Adele, in addition to her one off Grammy winning release, Skyfall for the same titled James Bond film in 2012. Florence and the Machine in addition to Bruno Mars are among star names the producer has worked with in recent times. Was move to work with world class and proven producer of recent times a signal of Coldplay's re-occurring desire to adapt with the ever-changing music scene?

The dawn arises

Something peculiar started to happen on Coldplay's official website. Two GIF's/animations were uploaded, on February 23rd and 24th, in the form a new band graphic (see below) and in what appeared to be a mysterious forest. The first things which came to mind were the 'dark' edge of these graphics. The opposite to the colourful Mylo days of 2012 and 2013 and more of a similarity to the pre-Viva days. Excitement was prevalent but we didn't have much of a clue of what was to come next, apart from the Magic single release, listed for May.

The following day after the second GIF was uploaded on Coldplay.com, a music video titled 'Coldplay - Midnight' appeared on the band's Youtube channel on the Tuesday afternoon of the 25th. No description was noted, other than 'a new Coldplay song'. Either Anchorman wasn't in an talkative mood or the guys at ColdplayHQ just wanted to keep us guessing! Everyone was certainly mystified on whether it had anything to do with Coldplay's forthcoming sixth LP.

First reactions from many fans were along the lines of 'Is this Coldplay'. It was experimental and completely different from anything they have done before. This went down a treat with some fans but did split opinion, as it was bound to. Midnight was immediately compared to Bon Ivor and Justin Vernon by critics. The song was built on top of an unreleased track by Jon Hopkins in 2003, titled Amphora. Jon Hopkins co-produced the track, alongside Paul Epworth (in addition to Dan Green and Rik Simpson who all played a part in recording LP6). Midnight's official video had been directed by Mary Wigmore. 'Trippy' and 'Techno' was often used as a description for the video. Chris' dancing in the Midnight forest, the mirrored foxes and 'hallucinogenic' movements all factored into the unlikeliest of Coldplay videos (reminded me partly of

in places too!).

More new tracks on the way?

As we reach the end of February in what we would eventually know as the Ghost Stories era, we were all pondering on what we should expect next. Was Midnight the actual first single, a teaser of what's to come, or a stand-alone release altogether? We didn't know but there was a date to look forward to and that would be Coldplay's live return for 2014 at the iTunes festival on 11th March. If the album was to arrive, we would of expected new material to be played during their performance in Austin, just like when the band debuted a few Mylo Xyloto tunes during the summer of 2011.

Band Aid 30 to feature Chris Martin - In the fight against Ebola

Chris Martin will lend a hand to his good pal, Bob Geldof once again as Band Aid 30 (based from the UK) will unite many of the big names in music for the re-recording of Do They Know It's Christmas? This time, the 30th anniversary of the Band Aid track will feature not the Phil Collins, Paul Weller and George Michael of

but our very own Chris Martin alongside the likes of Ed Sheeran, One Direction and Emeli Sande. The cause this time round is to fight the globally emerging virus which has spread from West Africa, Ebola. The music industry is certainly a different beast altogether from 30 years ago and the sales from back then are unlikely to be emulated again but the global exposure of Band Aid is set to increase like never before, with a plethora of Facebook shares and Twitter re-tweets been a new measure of success in tandem with donations, partly raised by sales of this decades re-make for the very important cause of fighting Ebola.Band Aid 30 will be heard for the first time next Monday, 17th November and will feature Chris Martin within the official video, which is expected to be online upon airing. It's too early to tell right now what will happen with the release of Band Aid 30 likely to be during Christmas but it's certainly something we will all keep an eye on!

Chris Martin Performs Live At Universal Studios

Chris Martin graced the Universal Studios with his presence as he performed Viva La Vida and Clocks to an awestruck crowd during a short and intimate session. Details are sketchy and are in a form of Instagram posts from fans who were 'in the right place at the right time' for the brief showing, believe to have been on Thursday night.

Universal Studios are the American film studio company who are releasing the upcoming film, Unbroken, which of course features Coldplay's new upcoming song, Miracles. Chris' visit is understood to be related to Coldplay's role on the film soundtrack. Miracles is rumoured to been have played, as part of an Oscar push but we have not seen any further clips yet other than of Viva La Vida and Clocks below. Chris apparently said 'The song [Miracles] was put together at the last minute' but nothing concrete as of yet so the wait for the first glimpse of Miracles continues!

New Foo Fighters documentary will include a Chris Martin interview

Sonic Highways, the latest Foo Fighters documentary will air on American TV station, HBO this Friday 17th October. The documentary detailing the making of their forthcoming album, also titled Sonic Highways follows the efforts of Dave Grohl and co as they record each song of the new album in a different city and studio across the US. A pal of frontman, Dave Grohl is our very own Chris Martin and he will be interviewed for the TV series. Infact, it's already being filmed.

Walk the Talk?

Do you remember the video for Walk by the Foo Fighters in 2011? It featured a 'Coldplay' bumper sticker followed by a shake of the head by Mr Dave Grohl who did state in an interview he likes the 'Coldplay guys' but he likes to make fun of them and the rocker compared it to being married to someone and wanting to make fun of them all the time

Chris Martin stars in the 'Impossible Orchestra'

Chris Martin stars on the song for the new BBC initiative, BBC music. He joins an alliance to aid the charity, Children In Need by covering the Beach Boys classic, 'God Only Knows'. The song has been broadcasted across all BBC TV and Radio channels within the UK this evening. Bob Sheenan, who directs BBC Music, said the 'Impossible Orchestra' is "a celebration of all the talent, diversity and musical passion found every single day throughout the BBC."

There are 27 artists featuring throughout the great initiative which includes : Sir Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams and One Direction. Oh and Chris wears a bow tie!

Chris Martin jams with Kings of Leon on stage

Chris Martin is known to be good friends with Kings of Leon and for the second time in a few months, Chris made a surprise appearance on stage with the band, at the Hollywood Bowl the other night for their two songs, 'Talihina Sky' and 'Notion' as part of the 'Mechanical Bull' tour. Chris Martin was in full voice, singing a whole verse during the former track.

The Coldplay frontman's showing at the Hollywood Bowl wasn't the only time he jammed on stage with the American rockers. Inbetween Coldplay's energetic set at Radio 1's Big Weekend at the end of May, Chris found some time to play alongside Caleb and co during a live showing of their hit, 'Fans'.
