As you will know by now, as a 'thank you' to the fans, Coldplay (not personally) have been handing out LeftRightLeftRightLeft, a free nine-track CD to everyone who attends one of the band’s concerts this summer. So far, the CDs have been handed out in West Palm Beach, Atlanta and Birmingham. Coldplaying has been receiving more messages from concertgoers regarding receiving a CD after the show, and there have been a lot of happy punters out there, but it seems that there are still people willing to help nobody but themselves. Here are some of the latest comments:

I was an Oxfam volunteer at the Atlanta show. We were given the task of handing out the CDs at the end of the show... There were hands EVERYWHERE! For the most part everyone was very kind, took one CD and said thank you. Others were slightly greedy and would try to hide the one they already had and grabbed another one. It isnt easy to concentrate when you have 14,000 people coming at you with their hand out... I was able to keep one cd for myself. When the last box I had was down to 20 CDs and there were still a few hundred people comeing out I handed them out as quick as possible and then FLED THE AREA like OJ at a murder scene... I got one too, but there were tons of people being rude and grabbing at the people handing them out. I was embarrassed at my fellow Floridians. Bless the patient Oxfam people who put up with that crap. [steven]

At Lakewood in Atlanta it was very mellow. The crowd to leave was a bit ,well crowded. My wife and I walked up to the exit and got our CD and out of the venue quickly. They had other exits for those who did not care to stand in line as well. When you come in could be better and quicker I think, but it is the venues staff not CP's. So blame the personel of the venue not the band. [johnding]

Here’s what happened - there were Oxfam volunteers at the gates, standing under butterfly balloons, handing them out. And I have talked to audience members who saw them - at this point, it’s only been people who went out the north exit, near the main entrance, who did - and saw that there was a mad dash for them. i thought it went very smoothly in atlanta. if you didn't want a cd, you could exit on the sides. i got one cd and it's great. however, i wonder why they just didn't give people a download code or something for itunes or something. could have saved them tons of money and saved a lot of waste, as much as they are into saving the earth and all, you know? at least there's no plastic covers on them or anything. anyway, i didn't run into any problems and was near the middle of the pack exiting, although i was in the pit. we just ran to get out to make sure we got a cd [librahi]

The CD's were being handed out by Oxfam volunteers and I felt VERY bad for them. They were being bombarded with people. People were even trying to take the boxes away from them, I wanted to stay and help them out but my friend was in a rush. I don't know how they'll arrange the CD giveaway at the next venue, but the way it was at West Palm Beach, you just have to look for where there is a crowd bombarding each other. Getting there early won't help, the hand out CD's after their performance. What I did was make sure not to leave without a CD. Yes, the volunteers handing out the CD's was a bit hard to find at first, but there were several volunteers. Look for one who isn't being completely bombarded. And be nice! Don't attack them! Get one CD and go, the reason for the chaos is people trying to get more than one CD. If you really want a CD be patient. [AnaMars89]

I was able to grab a copy, but only after being shoved around a giant mosh pit by the north entrance. The CD is a great live album, but not quite worth the effort it took to get it. [Tracy]

I could not find the free CD LeftRightLeftRightLeft that was supposed to be given away last night at Cruzan Amphitheatre in W. Palm Beach. I asked several Cruzan personnel in several different areas and they all responded that they had no information about a “supposed free CD from Coldplay” at that show. I asked some jocks at a radio station booth and they said the CDs would be given away as everyone exits. We were funneled out of the venue, past dozens of Cruzan staffers and none were giving away the CD. No one leaving had a CD.

We were promised this by Chris Martin and now it seems to be an empty promise. How can it be that the personnel in charge knew nothing of this giveaway? They were dismissive of my request for information. I even went back over to Cruzan this morning to speak with someone in authority and got nowhere. The woman at the ticket office was rolling her eyes over my request for information or help. She said they were not responsible and did not know anything about it and to call the front desk on Monday. I am being swept aside.

I want to know if Coldplay members have any idea of the thousands of fans that are now left with bitter feelings regarding the CDs. I will call Cruzan’s front office on Monday but a fat lot of good that will do me, and I know it. Why did this happen? I feel robbed now. If I find those employees horded the CDs that were supposed to be for ticket-buying fans and are selling them on eBay, I will be calling all the major newspapers and TV stations in the area. I want the CDs (one for my daughter and one for me). [name supplied]

Some greedy bastard obtained TEN copies of LRLRL and is selling them [edit: already sold for $100 not including P&P!] as a bundle on eBay. It was supposed to be 1 CD for 1 ticket, therefore some people missed out because of this guy! [thanks Benjamin]

I'm a contralto and I generally sing some form of rock music, my favorite bands being Coldplay, U2, and Muse. Please answer, as it would be a great help. Bono's register certainly isn't contralto and Matt Bellamy frequently uses falsetto so Muse wouldn't be ideal either. Coldplay's Yes is as low as it goes but usually the judges prefer familiar songs. Funnily enough I heard the perfect song for you today on the radio. Un-Break My Heart by Toni Braxton should suit your voice really well. Or Breathe Again or indeed most of her catalogue! I realize this isn't your preferred genre of Rock but getting the song right is vital. Good luck.

Hi folks! We rolled in to Atlanta on Saturday where we had a day off and a chance to poke around the great ATL. Last night’s show at Lakewood Amphitheater was electrified by the overwhelming energy of the audience, most of whom watched the show in the cold rain! On a cold and soggy day like yesterday where one would expect fans to be moody, I was heartened by the overwhelming support for Oxfam as well.

This morning, I woke up in Birmingham, Alabama. We’ve been in the south for a few days now and the weight of the historical importance of cities like Atlanta and Birmingham is inescapable. These cities were home to key players in the non-violent civil rights movement, namely, Dr. Martin Luther King who was jailed in Birmingham for his role in the protests against racial segregation. It was from his jail cell that he wrote: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Just back to hotel. What a night. Touched Jonny's arm. I'm still shaking! Shot a shit load of pics and video. Chris dancing with a chinese dragon head on! ahahahaSet list same. Line to get free CD, long. But I got mine. weeeeeeeeeeee. First, what I though would be stage B, was actually a mini ramp. But they did exit just in front of me, that when I touched Jonny. Then Kelly stood right next to me giving me the evil eye. I have shot what is the greatest In My Place video EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I screamed so fucking loud! OK during In My Place I alway get my camera ready to film. You have to wait for the song to start beacuse if you don't when the lights come up your camera will loose focus. So Chris starts singing and then Jonny makes his way over toward Guy, then instead of going back toward his side and Chris coming to meet him.....he walks right up to me on the mini ramp and they are so fucking close I had to turn my camera sideways to fit them in! OMG I didn't realize I had screamed so loud. Then he went over to his side and they finished the song. I think I sent a OMG text to someone but I almost fainted! [thanks TheAngie]

Q. Hello Oracle! Okay, did Jay-Z and Coldplay make an entire album together? Because I heard a song of the two called Beach Chair. and its amazing! Is there an entire album of this? Or just a few song duos together?

They didn't do an entire album but Chris & Jonny featured on Jay Z's Beach Chair on the Kingdom Come album. There have been other collaborations; Chris was a guest performer at Jay's Royal Albert Hall gig in London in 2006. Jay Z also rapped on Lost+ last year which sparked a bootleg album that combined the works of both, called Viva la Hova.

I just got home!!! That was definitely the best Coldplay concert I've ever been to...and it was my 4th. Probably because it was outside? Chris was really funny & talkative, adding new words to songs personalizing it for Atlanta, things like that. It was very awesome. He was so thankful towards everyone for coming, and said LeftRightLeftRightLeft was the most expensive album they've had since they're giving it to us for free. For the remix set, I got really close, but tons of people were pushing & since I'm short, they didn't see me, and it was annoying, but I hopefully got good pictures and tried to get this lady to get one with Chris behind me, but for some reason she couldn't figure out my camera.. Then for the C stage, on the lawn, I again ran out there but being on a slope+short=can't see! And no one would let me leave the mob! And rain+butterflies=dead butterflies. I got a set list from this venue worker who was being a bitch about everyone being in their seats & stuff. before the concert started, she was talking to a roadie who was working the camera next to me (he was the one who danced onstage during the Jay-Z song), I saw her with a set list so I asked if after wards I could have it, and she bitched me out about how it wasn't a set list..but during Death and All His Friends, she came up & handed it to me!! oh and how could I forget that I met a fellow Coldplayer, Mountanloafers! It is really awesome how we can do that! with LRLRL, there was a very slow moving line exiting..and to leave, you had to get one...so it was kind of a pain. They should just hand them out outside of the venue, so if people want one, they can get one, instead of putting everyone through it, because I heard people complaining they didn't really care. OMG soooo good. I'm like freaking out because I've never seen them before. We were SO close to being under the roof but not quite, haha. Georgia's weather sucks... my shoes were soaked and my hair is also a mess but I really don't care. It was so worth it. I also got 11 of those paper butterflies. Chris sang Georgia On My Mind which was incredible, and then it went into Viva la Vida. Amazing night. [thanks reignxoflove]

Coldplay's highly touted giveaway of a free live CD to concert goers -- a generous idea which Chris Martin announced from the stage -- was badly executed, leaving many fans empty handed, according to reports in Miami today.

The only sour spot on an otherwise excellent show, was either insufficient stocks of CDs or poor distribution, which meant they were difficult or even impossible to find. just got back from the amphitheater and the show was fantastic. the audience was absolutely awful in the first 30 rows which was sad and disappointing, the crowd on the grass and in the back was SPECTACULAR but they were wasted and the GA seats, it was a phenomenal concert so anyone that gave it bad reviews had to have prejudged the boys prior to tonight. yes butterfly confetti and yellow balloons peppered the stage but them going out onto the law to play and stripping down that 2 song set was brilliant..Chris even went into detail as to why they did it and how it came about with a conversation with their manager..... The boys played from three different stages- the main, then a smaller piano based mini stage on stage left and then way back in the crowd on the lawn on a mini stage where the drummer sang a song and the boys performed a classic by the MONKEES...yes the MONKEES. the lighting, set design and overall show is very stripped down and really focuses on the music-- CHRIS was brilliant and peppered in a ton of local comments and made everyone feel like he was really happy to be in WPB... GET YOUR TIX NOW- the show is worth every penny. EVERY SONG ON THE NEW LIVE ALBUM WAS PLAYED, YELLOW WAS BRILLIANT- with a ton of confetti filled YELLOW BALLONS flying everywhere. Chris even popped one with his guitar and confetti went everwhere. EVEN THOUGH THE FRONT OF THE CROWD WAS LAME with as much emphasis on LAME as humanly possible. Chris was insane tonight-- he was sweating like a hooker in church- granted it was 80 and humid as hell tonight but he and the boys definitely brought their A game.... I've been to 100s of shows and tonight was in the top 10-15 of all time and I base that solely on the performance, musical quality, vocal quality, and enthusiasm for giving a great performance. I DID GET THE CD BUT THEY WERE SCARE AND HARD TO FIND- I ACTUALLY LEFT PISSED THAT I DIDNT GET ONE AND WAS TALKING ABOUT IT AND A WOMAN HANDED ME HERS- SAID SHE GOT 4 AND HAD AN EXTRA [thanks paynegod]

wooooo I got back from the concert like 3 hours ago! It was AMAZING!!! I was right in front of the C stage and oh man I saw them like SOOOOOO CLOSE! and the C stage was super small so it was like intimate! not like the main stage! SOOOO AMAZING!! In today's issue of Rolling Stone magazine, there's a small blurb about Coldplay and their upcoming summer tour, which gives some new information about the forthcoming tour and more immediately, tonight's show at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach. Here's the excerpt from the magazine:

"We're going to make the set list a little longer, throw in some extra songs and figure out ways to reach the last row," says Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman of the band's three-month trek through mostly outdoor venues. Also, the band will be giving away copies of a new live album, Leftrightleftrightleft, at every show.

Coldplay's free album giveaway for fans has been marred this morning by complaints of slow download speeds, GigWise are reporting today. The band are giving fans the chance to download a new live album, entitled 'LeftRightLeftRightLeft', for free for the duration of the forthcoming tour.

But some fans have complained that the the album is taking upwards of three hours to download. Others, meanwhile, are unable to access the download page. On Twitter, one user wrote: “OMG WAIT - Has anyone had any success downloading the free Coldplay album? I'm getting a big "can't find server" message.. DAMN!” Another said: “The page isn't loading and I need my Coldplay download!! DOWNLOOOOOAD!! :'(“

Coldplay have told fans to continue trying the download link if it is unresponsive. Rolling Stone are also reporting that Coldplay’s Website has been temporarily paralyzed by fans flooding the address to pick up the free live album. As previously reported CD copies of 'LeftRightLeftRightLeft' will be given away to fans on each night of the band's tour, which begins tonight in West Palm Beach, Florida.

There are only two days to go before LeftRightLeftRightLeft will be released on May 15 at Coldplay's show at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in Florida's West Palm Beach, and then subsequently to anyone attending a live Coldplay show for the remaining dates of 2009's worldwide Viva La Vida tour.

The album, which mostly features cuts from Viva La Vida, contains 9 live tracks in all that had been recorded during different stops on the band's worldwide tours of the last few years. However, if you can't pony up the cash for arena-concert tickets, don't fret... you won't be left out in the cold. The album will also be available for download on the band's official website the same day it is released at Coldplay's West Palm Beach, FL date. As previously announced, Coldplay are to give away CDs of their new live album, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, at every remaining live show in 2009 (apart from festival shows), beginning with their West Palm Beach gig in Florida on Friday (May 15th). A recently filed music copyright suit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California - Satriani v. Martin - has revealed a new and unexpected application for the Web, namely, its potential as a forum for infringement analysis by amateur musicologists.

Long before any party to this litigation will be required to submit expert reports or summary judgement briefs, YouTube postings have offered remarkably insightful analyses of the strengths and weaknesses of the parties' respective cases. Ultimately, as with any copyright infringement case where there is no direct proof of copying, this action will turn on whether Coldplay is deemed to have had 'access' to Satriani's song and whether the two works are 'substantially similar'.

I'm trying the would-you-deny-him-seeing-Mozart-if he-had-had-a-chance angle, but it's not going so well. She's still pacing the floor. Advice?

The only thing I can say that may help is 10 is not the youngest fan age we've had in attendance and assure your wife that if at any point he feels uncomfortable or doesn't enjoy the experience of such a big show that you will leave. Also invest in some good quality noise reduction ear mufflers.

No. Thanks to Maria from Denmark (and a couple of other people), it seems that it's not a Coldplay song at all. "Steve is talking about a song by Guster called Parachutes. Some of Coldplay's fans think this is a Coldplay song because it's also called Parachutes, and if you download it illegally, the song is there instead of "the real Parachutes". So Steve's favorite Coldplay song is actually not a Coldplay song. But it is a really good song". I have subsequently found out, it's actually singular: Parachute.

I agree with you. I don't think it's at all healthy to bottle up emotions. Even anger needs to be released as long as it's done in an aware, safe manner. I personally feel it's stronger to show emotion and to be in touch with your feelings. I have seen bad things happen to people who don't, that said, it's not for everyone.

Q. Oh Oracle, Are Coldplay keen on the Flaming Lips? Thanks very much

Well as you are probably aware, if you read our news regularly, Mercury Rev recently supported Coldplay down under. The Flaming Lips are often compared to Mercury Rev and in fact Jonathan Donahue (vocals & guitar) joined the former as a second guitarist. In answer to your question, yes the band are keen on The Flaming Lips and you often see Chris donning their t-shirts.

Coldplay front man Chris Martin has declared that ITV flagship arts programme the South Bank Show should be saved, BroadcastNow are reporting this morning.

ITV announced that the series, which has been fronted by Melvyn Bragg since 1978, will cease to exist after the current series comes to a close next summer.

But Chris, who was filmed as part of an upcoming episode of The South Bank Show last week, told newspaper Metro that he would lobby to save the iconic strand. "It's a great show and something must be done," he said.

Bragg will step down from his role as presenter of the show and controller of arts at ITV Studios when the show concludes in June 2010. He said that the decision had been made when ITV told him they could no longer afford to produce the show to the same standard.

ITV has promised that it will be looking to replace The South Bank Show with a new arts programme, but insiders fear that the show's cancellation will spell the end for arts on the commercial broadcaster.

Oxfam America have posted an update in the forums on the Oxfam volunteering for the forthcoming Viva La Vida US tour. Here are some of the FAQ that have been answered so far:

-- Yes, you'll get to see the show for free! You'll interact with other Coldplay fans up until a few minutes before the show, then you'll get to enjoy the concert. Just before it ends, you'll meet back up with all the other volunteers to reach-out to folks as they leave the building.

-- Pete (Lusby) won't be traveling on this tour for us, but Soha will! You may have read her blogs after she covered for Pete on the last few dates of the last US leg. She's very cool, super smart, lots of fun, and actually came to Oxfam America as a Coldplay fan at a concert in LA! She'll be blogging away, just as Pete did, so I hope you'll all follow her travels around the country with the band.

-- As far as age requirements go, you should be 18 or older, unless you'll have a family member who is 18+ volunteering with you.

Entertainment Weekly recently wrote about Cat Stevens (now Yusuf Islam) saying that the Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida' sounded suspiciously similar to his 1973 song 'Foreigner Suite.' Just like at Rolling Stone, many responders jumped to Coldplay's defence, focusing on the 'coincidental timing' of Yusuf Islam's claim - conveniently, he chose the same week to both accuse Coldplay of copying his song and release his new album Roadsinger, which was released earlier this week. Here are some of the fans' comments:

i'm listening to foreigner suite for the first time right now. What are you on about Yusaf?!! There really is zero similarity, unless Spotify is playing me an entirely different song to that it claims to be. And I thought santriani had a weak case! [radio]

Hey what a clever marketing gimmick! Maybe I'll sue Coldplay too and get some publicity. Hope the increased album sales for all these artists work out to be more than the legal fees. There are only about 12 musical notes, artist are bound to create songs that sound alike and this happens all the time. Every single one of those massive hits I referred to got suddenly called into question months upon months of worldwide play, where were these people leaving? Under a rock? No. They were waiting for the song to bring in the dough and cool down. I stand by my argument. [Mark]

He's suing the wrong person - If Coldplay did actually copy Joe's song then shouldn't Cat be suing Joe since his plagiarism came first? Better yet, sue them both. Don't just single out one. What a freakin joke. Jealous suckers can't handle someone else's success. [Hammer]

Maybe it is just me being a huge Coldplay fan but judging by their first three album, with the exception of "talk" Coldplay has no limits to creative song writing abilities and does not need to "borrow" anything. I highly doubt that they would ever steal any ideas from Satch or Cat. They are better musicians than any of those guys. Obviously the melody is something that fits extremely well with the chords that were used. And then to say again, Why do they all sue Coldplay. Sue each other. [J]

It just seems very convinient to me that Cat Stevens just happens to be promoting a new album that comes out this week. Maybe a bit of controvesy to draw attention to their projects is something even 60year old men resort to also. This is the most ridiculous thing in the world really. So first it sounded like Joe Satriani, then Creakey Boards and now Cat Stevens? If I were Chris Martin and Co I would be laughing my ass off. Apparently the song sounds like every other song in the world, lets all sue coldplay yay!!! So is Cat Stevens going to sue Joe Satriani? is Joe suing Creaky Boards, is Creaky Boards suing Cat Stevens?? Completely ridiculous. I always love how people seems to cry copyright infringement ONLY on songs that become massive hits but not on anything that fails on the charts, or at least doesn't make that much money. [nate]

This is clearly a joke. I rememver buying this album last July, when I was visiting my sister that how I remember, so it's been out nearly a year. It was one ofthe biggest selling albums last year, and Viva la Vida on of the biggest singles off it, with literally tons of radio and TV airplay. Where the hell has Cat Stevens, Yusuf Islam or whatever he's calling himself thids weekk been for the past year, living under a rock. As someone else has said, even if you're not a Coldplay fan you can't fail to have heard the song. Clearly an old man trying to get his name heard again. As for Satriani, well thats bull to. I the grand scheme of music Satriani is a nobody. Talented, yes, has some fans, yes, but airplay, zero, commercial success, zero, heard by the vast population of the world in anyway, no. I could just be in his and Creaky Boards cases, that Martin and Co had never heard their stuff. I'm sure even proffesional musicians haven't heard even bit of music ever composed. [James]

I really hope Islam/Cat isn't serious about this crap. Yeah, after scouring through the over 18 minutes of "Foreigner Suite," the melody is there and it's very similar to Coldplay's song. At least Cat Steven's case would have some credence since the songs are in the same key unlike the other two. But all of these "claims" are just sour grapes. None of them are close enough in tempo, style, or arrangment to warrant actual credit being shared. Islam/Stevens does have the most credible case though. Satriani is a great guitarist but unless he wants to open himself up to about hundred lawsuits from other "solo instrumentalists" he better be careful. And Creaky Boards, puh-lease. Those guys should be sued by the Beach Boys for pathetically trying to recreate their "sound." Make good music and people will find it. Leave the lawsuits out of it. [claytron5000]

The Oracle replies:

Phil doesn't actually play in the band on or off the stage. He's referred to as the 5th member but not in terms of being a musician. Matt McGinn is the only person outside of the band to have done that during live shows. For example he played guitar offstage on Yellow during the Twisted Logic tour.

Q. Only a true Oracle can answer this question: When Parachutes was originally released, track 7 (titled Parachutes) was an epic song (at least 5 minutes) and my favorite on the album. The other day I was listening to my friends version of the CD, and his track 7 (also titled Parachutes) which surprisingly was a completely different song- it was a 46 second long and very slow. Where has my favorite Coldplay song gone?

I think you're dreaming Steve. Parachutes has always been a very short song in fact, not only is there not a longer version recorded, there isn't a longer version in existence.

Maybe a book of poetry or short stories as your friend may feel tired so something they can dip in and out of may be appropriate. Or you could make a compilation cd/tape of their favourite songs, or yours, so they can feel connected to you while in isolation. Other than that a photograph of a really happy positive memory may cheer her up. Hope that helps.

NME have posted a recap of yesterday's article on Coldplay's drummer Will Champion denying that the band have ripped off any other artists for their music, following Yusuf Islam's (formerly known as Cat Stevens - pictured) suggestion that they ripped off his song 'Foreigner Suite' for their own hit 'Viva La Vida'.

Furthermore, Coldplay are being sued by guitarist Joe Satriani, who has accused them of plagiarising his song 'If I Could Fly' for the song. However, Champion has insisted that the band are innocent, telling Hamptonroads.com that the band "haven't done anything wrong".

He said: "It's tough when people accuse you of stealing something when you know that you didn't. We accept that it's part of the territory and know it is only for some reason the successful songs that seem to be the ones that are accused of being stolen. So you go figure it out."

Will added that he believed some kind of musical crossover between artists was inevitable. "There are elements of our music that I've heard in other people's music," he said, "but a very difficult thing to define. There are only eight notes in an octave and no-one owns them. There are probably about 12,000 songs that feature the exact same chord progression. I think it [plagiarism] lies on an intent to steal, which we certainly have never done and never would. It's unfortunate but it's the way people are. That's that. We're confident we haven't done anything wrong."

Yesterday, I interviewed Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland over the phone. He seemed like a cool guy, all laid back with his British accent, chilling at his home across the pond. We recorded the interview, but there was some sort of interference so we won’t be able to post it online.

Stay tuned for a print story coming out sometime before the June 12 Coldplay show in Datebook or IowaLife. We chatted about his family — He has a fiance and an 18-month old little girl named Violet. I asked if she’ll be a future rocker like him, and he said she’s showing some signs. She likes to dance around to “Viva la Vida!”

We also talked about Brian Eno — Coldplay teamed up with Eno for “Viva la Vida” and they worked on some new material in the studio in January. Buckland said that Eno gives the band a sort of musical freedom. Buckland likes U2’s new album a lot (Eno worked on it along with a bunch of other U2 albums) and asked me if I liked it. I said yes (of course) and said I liked Coldplay’s new album, too! We spoke a bit about similiarities between his playing and The Edge’s. He said they both like the delay pedal . (So do I!)

Buckland and the rest of the band seem very removed from anything other than making music:

I asked him if he used the Coldplay Twitter account and he told me he didn’t quite know what Twitter was, he didn’t use it, and he wasn’t sure who from the Coldplay management used it. He was impressed though that the band has more than 739,800 followers.

He said he wasn’t aware of the newest plagiarism accusation by Cat Stevens, so I told him a bit about that.

Q. Hi dearest Oracle, I broke up yesterday with my boyfriend after 3 years of relationship. It's hard, I feel a creepy emptiness inside of me. Can't stop to listen to The Scientist since It happened. Is there any "recipe" to make this less hard?

The process you go through after a relationship breaks down is that of grieving. It is a loss after all. I suggest you give yourself time to cry and be sad but don't let it take hold of you. Allow some time but not all the time. Listen to The Scientist by all means, but not repeatedly, as it will hold you in your sorrow. It will take time and you could go through denial, anger and sadness many times before you come to accept it. It does get easier after time but give yourself lots of it. It's still early so don't expect too much right away.

I feel that Postcards From Far Away (from Prospekt's March) would be perfect; it wouldn't need editing as it's under a minute long. As there are no lyrics it's not going to be a distraction. It's a slow song too so you won't be walking too fast!

I'm afraid not Irine. Are you sure you're depressed? Sometimes we can use that tag easily when actually we're just feeling low or unhappy. Maybe try and do things that make you happy and smile. Watch something funny, spend time doing things you enjoy when you can and if you think it really is something clinical, perhaps try a herbal remedy or see a doctor? Sometimes the change in season makes us feel down but I'm not sure Nigeria has had similar seasonal adjustments that we are experiencing in the U.K.

They can be such versatile instruments either by the make/model, the number of strings and the effects used on it or the accessories you can get for them.

Coldplay’s Viva La Vida and releases from Katy Perry and Lily Allen helped EMI Music more than treble earnings in the year to the end of March – its first full year under Terra Firma’s ownership.

Earnings before interest and tax rose over 200% to £163 million (£51m) driven largely by a £48 million year on year reduction in the cost of returns and other overhead savings from the radical restructuring the company underwent last year.

The company now believes it is on track to deliver the £200m of cost savings identified at the time of its acquisition by the private equity group. EMI also generated operating cash flow of £190m (£142m) during the year and turnover was up 4% to £1,072, although market share remained broadly the same at 9.5% (9.7%).

EMI Music chief executive Elio Leoni-Sceti says the results are an important first step in building EMI’s future. He adds, “We cannot afford to be complacent however since there is still a great deal of work to be done to restore EMI to its former greatness and we are doing it in the face of challenging economic conditions. Looking ahead we have some exciting new releases coming up, a much deeper understanding of the music consumer and a new engaged relationship with our artists to build on. Now it has established this platform, EMI can look to the future with confidence and optimism.”

EMI’s current year is off to a strong start with Depeche Mode’s Sounds of the Universe debuting at number one in 20 countries.

The company’s release schedule for the year includes new albums from Air, Gorillaz, Norah Jones, Massive Attack, Kylie Minogue, KT Tunstall and Robbie Williams. EMI is also gearing up for September 9 when it will release the original Beatles catalogue, digitally re-mastered for the first time and the same date as the widely anticipated The Beatles: Rock Band video game.

Stop press! News from Anchorman confirming a nine track Coldplay album to be available at shows and online:

Good morning, We're pleased to announce that Coldplay will be giving away a live CD, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, at every remaining live show in 2009 (apart from festival shows). Starting with the band's first North American tour date, at West Palm Beach in Florida on May 15th, every fan attending a show will be given a free copy of the nine-track CD, which won't be available elsewhere. Also on May 15th, LeftRightLeftRightLeft will be made available as a free download right here at Coldplay.com, for all fans (and for the same time period).
