2008 Concert Volunteer Application - Support Oxfam at the US Coldplay shows!

Oxfam America are looking for volunteers to help out at Coldplay shows in the US - there are still spots available for most Coldplay US shows - including (but not limited to) the following ones where there is a shortage of applicants:

21 October 2008: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH

31 October 2008: Verizon Center, Washington DC

1 November 2008: Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, PA

5 November 2008: Phillips Arena, Altanta, GA

16 November 2008: Ford Center, Oklahoma City, OK

Fill in the form here for your application. If you wish to apply to more than one concert please fill out one application per concert. An Oxfam America organizer will respond to you as soon as possible and will send more exact schedules along with other instructions to those volunteers who are selected and reconfirmed. Spaces are limited. Volunteers typically arrive 1-2 hours before the concert and stay about an hour after the concert.

You may remember Coldplaying.com was involved in a campaign on 6th April 2006, courtesy of Coldplaying member jbarry5503, to distribute 12000 'USA Loves Coldplay' flyers at the Wachovia Center, during the final US Twisted Logic show last year. Well, we're doing it again, courtesy of ColdplayJoe.

Delso was selected to open for Coldplay on July 25 at the Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, PA, through a video contest run by local rock station 93.3 WMMR. *Image manipulation: When using ImageMagick, users can rotate CCW, rotate *CW, Flip and Flop an image after it has been uploaded (by editing a photo).

*Users can choose to be notified of new posts to their photos or photos to which they want to subscribe (email notification).

*Send a photo as an e-Card (greetings card / post card, etc)

*Choose how many thumbnail images to display per page

*Sort thumbnail display pages by alphabetical, most popular, most active, by date, and by number of views

*Uses time offset and 'posts per page' user preferences from vBulletin user DB (when in use)

*Member Galleries section displays disk space used by each user so they can keep track of their disk usage

*Private Personal Albums - Private Albums are assigned a unique URL which the person can share with friends and family for restricted access.

*New Comments/Photos indicator - for users who are logged in, the arrow for comments and posts will glow when new items have been posted since last visit to the category.

*View Recent Uploads - A link to show the posts in the past 1, 7 and 14 days.

*View All Uploads - can be viewed and then sorted (for example to see the most popular uploads in all groups)

*My Favorites - Users will have the ability to "tag" images for their own "My Favorites" feature. Viewing My Favorites shows the tagged images in a gallery format.

The Coldplaying Messageboard is back online after a successful data migration from the old board.

You can log in here to access your original accounts, PMs and old posts. If you haven't yet joined the community go to the register page.

The regulars among you will know that the Coldplaying messageboard has recently changed. This is due to the old phpbb board "throwing a wobbly", causing the Coldplaying server to become unstable.

We apologise for any inconveniece the switch may have caused. I hope you can appreciate that for the long term benefit of the site and its members, this change was essential. There are still issues to be addressed with the new board, in terms of theme colours and permissions, to make the new board similar and as familiar as the old one.

The old forum will continue to be accessible in order for you to access archived material and record signatures, avatars, links and other items. We will be looking in the very near future at the feasibiliy of moving over data from the old board (posts, threads, members etc).
