Coldplaying.com has made it to the semi-finals of Absolute Radio's Rock-Off competition representing Coldplay in the playoffs against other music forums across the internet. The semi-final matches opened on Ben Jones’s show tonight with Coldplay v Green Day. The public will have a day to vote on their favourite playlist between these two forums. The winner will then go through to the FINAL against either James or Pink Floyd. Coldplaying's match runs from 16-17th December - where voting will be open for 23.5 hours, between 9.15pm (GMT) Tuesday 16th December and 8.30pm (GMT) Wednesday 17th December. The winner of Coldplay v Green Day will be announced on-air at 9.00pm (GMT) tomorrow (17th).

The prize is a special Coldplay show on Absolute Radio on Monday 22 December 2008 at 9.00pm (GMT)... Absolute Radio playing loads of Coldplay and mentioning the Coldplaying Forum at every opportunity! Coldplaying's Coldplay-filled playlist has won the opening match of Absolute Radio's Rock-Off forum competition against the Official Keane Forum, we are happy to announce tonight.

Coldplaying won by 62% - 38% after 28 hours of fierce voting - our next match will be against either the official Muse forum or Radiohead fansite Ateaseweb on 10th December 2008 - more details nearer the time. On the 26 September, Virgin Radio will be flying a listener and a friend from a secret location in the UK to Munich... with Coldplay. Yes, with the band themselves!

When you get to Munich you'll be given an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour to see what goes on backstage, have a bit of dinner while you're there, then you'll have the chance to sit in on their sound-check before the show.
