Coldplay have announced a limited edition cassette of the Live in Buenos Aires album alongside an exclusive fanzine all about the Butterfly Package.

The double cassette is limited to 1000 copies worldwide and the Butterfly Zine is limited to 1500 copies. The fanzine contains interviews from Mat Whitecross, Kristjana S Williams and Rick Simpson plus photos from Matthew Miller and an intro from Dave Holmes, Coldplay's manager.

Ever since the dawn of Coldplaying.com 18 years ago, fans have been hunting their attics, bargain bins and auction sites to find unreleased Coldplay tracks. Over the years we have had some success! In 2006, a fan stumbled across Ode to Deodorant, a previously unheard track from a demo cassette by 'The Coldplay'. Back then, the band was pretty much unheard of.

Until this year, Ode to Deodorant had never been published and was only given to friends, family and record labels. Since 2006, Ode to Deodorant has featured in numerous Coldplay videos such as on the timeline and in documentaries. It was only until the release of the 'A Head Full of Dreams' film that fans noticed 'Ode to Deodorant', 'Vitamins' and 'The Race' in the credits. Each track had been published under Universal Music as of 2018.

For the first time in over 20 years, we can now listen to a snippet of Vitamins by Coldplay. The track featured in the background of the film and with some clever editing we have isolated it. Take a listen:

It has now been a year since the conclusion of the record-breaking A Head Full of Dreams tour and the band is still shattering those records. This time it is in the form of a documentary,

Mat Whitecross, known for his previous music documentary 'Supersonic' and numerous Coldplay music videos, has managed to top the charts with his latest endeavour.

Music film 'A Head Full of Dreams', follows the band's spectacular rise to fame from the back of Camden pubs to selling out stadiums worldwide. Whitecross, who met the four in college, has been there to capture over a thousand hours of footage over the last 20 years. His unmatched relationship with the band differs this documentary from others and shows the emotional, stressful and joyous times experienced by the band and those around them over the last two decades.

Over 300,000 fans experienced over 2 hours of Coldplay goodness in 2,650 theatres worldwide. Trafalgar Releasing distributed the film in 70 countries and scored the number one box office spot in the Netherlands, number two in the UK, Australia and Italy and number five position in the US. It is also the top-performing event release for a rock music film in 2018. Impressive!

In collaboration with Coldplaying and ColdplayXtra, our former team member Christa42, since retired, asked fans to post their photos along with their location using #AHFODFilmParty. The project was an instant success with over 1000 people taking part on Twitter alone. Well known names such as Debs Wild, Mat Whitecross and Penny Harvey all took part. Coldplay will celebrate their record-breaking A Head Full Of Dreams Tour with the release of Live In Buenos Aires / Live In São Paulo / A Head Full Of Dreams (Film).

The combined live album (3 x gold vinyl or 2 x CD) / live concert film release (1 x DVD) - also known as the Butterfly package - is completed by the New A Head Full Of Dreams Documentary Film (1 x DVD), Which charts Coldplay’s colourful 20-year history.

The Live In Buenos Aires album was recorded on 15 November 2017 - the final night of the A Head Full Of Dreams Tour. The 24 track audio set marks the first time that a Coldplay concert has been released in its entirety.

The accompanying two-hour concert film Live In São Paulo was filmed a week earlier on 8 November 2017. From today, Viva La Vida from Live In Buenos Aires is available to stream/download worldwide here, with the Live In São Paulo video of the song available on YouTube, as above.

Coldplay have announced a new film, A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS, which throws the doors wide open on their colourful 20-year history. The film will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video starting in the UK, US, Australia, and New Zealand on Friday, November 16 with local language versions available globally soon after.

The documentary release will be preceded by a special one-night showing of the film in collaboration with Trafalgar Releasing in more than 2,000 cinemas around the world, on Wednesday, November 14. Tickets are on sale from Friday, October 19 from coldplay.film.

In conjunction with the launch of A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS on Amazon Prime Video, Coldplay will premiere three live tracks, available to stream only on Amazon Music beginning Friday, October 26. The tracks are: Stayin’ Alive (Live at Glastonbury) by Coldplay & Barry Gibb, Us Against The World (Live in Leipzig) and Don’t Panic (Live in Paris).

A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS offers an in-depth and intimate portrait of the band’s spectacular rise from the backrooms of Camden pubs to selling out stadiums across the planet.

At the heart of the story is the band’s unshakeable brotherhood which has endured through many highs and lows.

The film is helmed by Mat Whitecross – director of Supersonic, the acclaimed 2016 Oasis documentary – who met the four friends at college in London, before they’d even formed the band. From the very first rehearsal in a cramped student bedroom, Whitecross has been there to capture the music and the relationships on tape.

Whitecross has since directed many of the band’s most iconic videos (including Paradise, A Sky Full Of Stars and Adventure Of A Lifetime) and continued to document the band’s musical and personal evolution.

Using extensive unseen archive, behind-the-scenes and live footage, A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS sees the band reflect upon their two decades together. It was filmed during Coldplay’s record-breaking A Head Full Of Dreams Tour, which was certified as the third biggest tour of all time, playing to more than 5.5 million fans across the world.

If you have ever been to a Coldplay concert or simply followed our #AHFODTour social coverage, you may have noticed the intro video at the beginning of each show. Many fans have asked what is the secret to featuring in this video? Debs Wild has given us the inside scoop on how to star in the esteemed introduction!

The intro video is a unique attribute of this tour and succeeds in exciting the crowd before the lead into 'A Head Full of Dreams'. Ever since the launch of the #AHFODTour in March 2016, multiple fans have been chosen to introduce Coldplay on stage while representing their country by waving their local flag. A second video is also recorded to send love to the next country on the tour and will also appear at the beginning of that show.

Fans are not usually chosen in advance to do the introduction so don't go asking! Fans usually wait near main entrances or the entrance to the backstage car parks etc. The band's video director, Ben Miles, will head outside the venue at around 12:00 noon on the day of the show to select fans to be filmed for that night.

Debs has told us that fans wearing colourful clothes are often chosen for the video. It seems that if you stand out and show up early to the venue, you have a high chance of being chosen. However it is all down to luck, so if you fancy your chances then follow the tips above for a chance to appear in this unforgettable introduction!

The band have also just premiered a new lyric video for Miracles (Someone Special), a collaboration with Detroit rapper Big Sean, which you can watch now below. The video was directed by Ben Mor.

The EP was produced by the band’s long-term collaborators Rik Simpson and Daniel Green, together with Bill Rahko, and features a new live version of Coldplay’s hit single with The Chainsmokers, Something Just Like This, recorded in Tokyo in April. The full tracklisting is as follows:

The EP is the sister release to the band’s acclaimed A Head Full Of Dreams album, which has sold more than 5 million copies since its December 2015 release. The four new songs were recorded in the band’s on-the-road studio during their A Head Full Of Dreams Tour, which reaches Paris this weekend for three sold out nights at the Stade de France.

The song A L I E N S was co-written by Brian Eno, and co-produced by Eno, Rik Simpson and Markus Dravs. All proceeds from A L I E N S will go to Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), an international NGO which rescues migrants and refugees in peril at sea in the Mediterranean. The band are patrons of the charity.

The A Head Full Of Dreams Tour continues to North America for dates in August, September and October, before culminating with newly-announced shows in Brazil and Argentina in November. Coldplay was nominated for two awards at this year's Brits but unfortunately were beaten by Little Mix and One Direction in their respective categories. However, we saw an astonishing tribute to George Michael from Chris Martin as he performed 'A Different Corner. Chris Martin performed alongside a video of George Michael and it caused Twitter to explode with heartfelt tributes to the singer. The band may not have won any awards but won over the audience by owning the show!

Coldplay surprised us all and walked on stage alongside The Chainsmokers to perform their new track 'Something Just Like This'. The song dropped on all major music streaming services a few minutes before the awards begun. Coldplay is the latest act to sign up to perform at the Brit Awards tomorrow,  joining Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, The 1975, Robbie Williams and more at the London O2 Arena. 

The band dropped into the venue yesterday to rehearse for the annual mega show that is the Brit Awards. 

A source from the SunUK said: “Coldplay are Britain’s biggest band so their presence at the awards was a must for bosses. They signed up very late on due to concern over other commitments but they always wanted to play the Brits.”

Coldplay is up for two awards, Best Video and Best Single, both for Hymn For The Weekend. Given Hymn For The Weekend is up for these awards we can only expect them to perform it. However, we may hear new material from Coldplay's upcoming 'Kaleidoscope EP' since they performed Hymn For The Weekend at last year's Brits (watch below).

Coldplay has released a Live Sessions EP today in conjunction with Spotify. The project finds the band performing two of their greatest hits, Yellow and Viva La Vida along with two tracks from their latest album Everglow and Adventure of a Lifetime. The fifth and final track of the EP is Christmas Lights played by many Coldplay fans at this time of the year. Finally we have live versions of these songs to add to our Spotify playlists!

This EP is available to Spotify members only and is not available on other platforms. However you can sign up for a free account on Spotify.com to stream the album on your devices. Coldplay will make history this month by headlining the main stage at Glastonbury - the largest festival in the world - for the fourth time in a row. Alongside other artists including Muse and Foals, they’ll be contributing a song recorded during their performance at the festival to Oxfam’s album- the first live Glastonbury album of its kind - to stand as one with people forced to flee conflict, disaster and poverty.

The album is part of Oxfam’s Stand As One campaign to put pressure on world leaders to welcome more refugees, to prevent families from being separated and to keep people fleeing their homes safe from harm.The album is dedicated to the memory of Jo Cox, MP, a former Oxfam activist, who campaigned tirelessly for refugees.To get yours hands on the album go to oxfam.org.uk/stand. All Parlophone's profits from the album will go to Oxfam’s Refugee Crisis Appeal, providing life-saving essentials like food, water and sanitation.

The wonderful Fraser Scott from AlbumArtists.co.uk has once again organised an exhibition for Pilar Zeta's A Head Full of Dreams art. Album Artists has previously teamed up with Coldplay to sell the Mylo Xyloto and Ghost Stories art in aid of Kids Company. This time around all proceeds will go to help disadvantaged children in London.

The exhibition includes the original collage by Coldplay and Pilar Zeta which became the band’s A Head Full of Dreams cover art, numerous unseen works from the album artwork’s development and a series of Pilar’s personal works which inspired the band to commission her.

The AHFOD art will be offered for sale, with all proceeds going towards charities working with disadvantaged children in London. Pilar will also donate proceeds from her art to the same charities. The AHFOD works can be viewed and purchased in advance from Album Artists.

The free exhibition will be displayed by Album Artists in Camden, London from 15th to 19th June, 2016, to coincide with the band’s four sold out shows at Wembley Stadium.

Coldplay released the artistic music video for "Up&Up," the third single from A Head Full of Dreams today, shortly before they set off on the European leg of the A Head Full of Dreams Tour. The music video, directed by Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia, does not feature scenes of Coldplay riding bicycles through the streets of Mexico, as we initially anticipated. Regardless, the real video does have beautiful and imaginative shots, including ones of  the Golden Gate Bridge in a puddle, a turtle flying through the New York subway, an eagle swimming underwater, and the band as giants walking among clouds and on top of fields.

The visually stunning shots are the perfect setting for the uplifting tone of the song.

With the perspective distortion and transformation of ordinary scenes into something extraordinary, and it's safe to say we agree with Chris Martin in saying that this is one of Coldplay's best videos. Watch the video below and discuss with fellow fans here!

Coldplay have a trio of shows in Mexico to close out their first series of concert dates. While there, the band figured 'why not shoot a music video for our new single?'. Coldplay have been spotted filming what appears to be a music video for their next single 'Up&Up'. It also appears that Marcus Haney will be sitting in the directors chair this time around. If the name sounds familiar, it should. Marcus also recently directed the MV for Coldplay's 'Birds' Video. Similar to the Birds video, it seems that Marcus will be shooting the music video using his trusty Super 8mm camera! Along with this footage, Marcus was also seen filming during some of the Mexican gigs. We expect to see this in the final MV as well, so hopefully we get to see some lucky Coldplayers immortalised in the video!

The band also released Up&Up as a single a few days ago on iTunes and all major streaming services. The single contains a radio edit of the song which has a length of 3:58 compared to 6:45 on the album version!

Coldplay have had a massive night at the Brits, winning two awards and performing Hymn For The Weekend! While Coldplay were only nominated for Best British Band and British Album of the Year, Adele obviously took the best album leaving Coldplay with the award for best British band!

To kick off the show, Coldplay performed Hymn for the Weekend without Beyonce. Instead Will performed Beyonce's 'oohs' and 'ahhs' and quite frankly, was better than Queen Bey herself. To top it all off, the band took home the award for Best British Band and made an awesome speech referring to themselves as One Direction at the end!

After the esteemed awards ceremony, Coldplay are due to play quite a small show at the 'Indigo at the o2" The gig will fundraise for War Child’s vital work providing protection to children whose lives are torn apart by conflict. The eleventh and final track from Coldplay's new album A Head Full of Dreams is set to be released as the next single from the album.

Popular radio station, KROQ has announced the news via an article on their website. "Last year they released A Head Full of Dreams, their seventh studio album. “Up&UP” is the latest single from the album."

This era has been slightly confusing when it comes to singles. When visiting Coldplay's discography on Spotify, only Adventure of a Lifetime and Everglow are listed as singles. However Hymn for the Weekend accompanies this list and has also been released as a promo CD.

During their performance of "Happy Song", Oli Sykes ventured his way into the audience and climbed on the table of Godlike Genius Award winners Coldplay.

After the event, fans took to Twitter and our forums to bash the lead singer for disrespectfully destroying Coldplay's table. Some are speculating that this was BMTH's revenge on Coldplay for "stealing" their album cover! However it looks like Coldplay got the last laugh!

Speaking to NME.com after the incident, Coldplay's Chris Martin said he had never heard of Bring Me The Horizon before but that "It was great, very rock n roll." During Coldplay's acceptance speech, Chris Martin said "We first came here when we were kids and we sat where Bring Me The Horizon were sitting next to the big bands".
