Coldplay was nominated for two awards at this year's Brits but unfortunately were beaten by Little Mix and One Direction in their respective categories. However, we saw an astonishing tribute to George Michael from Chris Martin as he performed 'A Different Corner. Chris Martin performed alongside a video of George Michael and it caused Twitter to explode with heartfelt tributes to the singer. The band may not have won any awards but won over the audience by owning the show!

Coldplay surprised us all and walked on stage alongside The Chainsmokers to perform their new track 'Something Just Like This'. The song dropped on all major music streaming services a few minutes before the awards begun. Many of us thought that The Chainsmokers had a show in Edinburgh tonight but that turned out to be a mistake and the duo surprised us by appearing! Check out the performance below:
