The Sun - 'Coldplay keen to release new album as soon as possible'

WITH ADELE, RIHANNA and ONE DIRECTION all still to release their new albums, the last quarter of 2015 is set to be a big one for music.

Now COLDPLAY are getting in on the act too.

I’m told CHRIS MARTIN and co are planning a surprise release of their seventh album, A Head Full Of Dreams, before the end of the year.

They will then launch a world tour next year, putting those split rumours to rest, once and for all.

My music spy revealed: “The album is almost finished and the band are keen to get it out as soon as possible.

“The last record was so depressing because it was about Chris’s split from GWYNETH PALTROW. But the new material is more upbeat with a pop feel.

“They have already finished eight tracks, which are all completely different.”

Yesterday the band’s rep remained coy on the matter, saying: “There is no release date set as they are still working on the record.”

However, another member of Coldplay’s team – string composer DAVIDE ROSSI – has confirmed the album is imminent.

He tagged Coldplay in a Facebook post and said their new album was one of his “projects about to be released”.

C’mon Chris, we’re waiting.
