Tango magazine had called a relationship expert and an oddsmaker to stake odds on various celeb marriages.
And in the issue just hitting newsstands, they had given Pam Anderson and Kid Rock’s marriage a 20-to-1 chance, noting “Any couple that has wedding ceremonies in Beverly Hills, Detroit and Nashville is focused on making a statement in the public, not creating a lasting union.”
But Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ marriage is even a longer shot, with 30-to-1 odds. Comment the pros: “Compatibility is what happens when two people are alone. When the cameras stop rolling, my guess is that they have little in common.” Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin scored best, with 1-to-1 odds.
