Coldplay Smackdown - Top Story for August 07

yellowballoons1.jpgOne woman took her hatred of Coldplay to an extreme last week and ended up in jail after beating a man for singing their most famous song.

The smackdown occurred at the Changes Karaoke bar in Seattle when a man took the stage and started to sing Coldplay's hit song "Yellow" angering a woman in the audience who shouted "Oh no, not that song. I can't stand that song!"

She then jumped up on stage and punched the man in the face in an attempt to stop him from singing the song, said the police report according to Gigwise. The 21-year-old woman was then dragged outside and went crazy punching a bar employee in the face twice.

Police arrested the woman and took her to King County Jail on assualt charges, according to local reports. No word if they karaoke bar has removed the offending song from their "menu".

This would have made a great scene in Duets. You know the Coldplay connection to that film! Maybe they can use it in the Duets II?
