If Chris Martin was a bit starstruck after meeting Psy of Gangnam Style fame at the Met Ball earlier this week, he needn't have been because it turns out Psy failed to recognise him at first, according to The Sun this weekend.
Gwyneth Paltrow revealed Chris wanted a souvenir for their son Moses, who’s a huge fan of Psy’s massive No.1 Gangnam Style.
She said: “Chris saw him and said, ‘Hello, I’m from the band Coldplay’, and Psy didn’t seem to know. We said, ‘We’re so sorry to bother you but can we get a picture together for our children?’ He then put it all together and was really happy to meet Chris.”
Chris Martin appeared to skip the star studded red carpet at the fashion gala so there aren't many photos of him, but Psy obliged us and his followers when he posted the pictures on Twitter:
Meanwhile, Psy says 'Gangnam Style' success was 'an accident', and admits he doesn't expect to match its success with future releases. After going viral, the 'Gangnam Style' video has now been viewed over 1.5 billion times on YouTube, and Psy was invited to Harvard University in Boston on Thursday (May 9th) to discuss its success.
"'Gangnam Style' was not normal. 'Gangnam' was not standard - that was an accident and accidents don't happen often," he said. Psy also admitted he has no expectations of matching its success - though his new single 'Gentleman' has already racked up an impressive 300 million views on YouTube.
