Gwyneth Paltrow: Worst Little Black Dress

gwyneth3.jpgActress Gwyneth Paltrow revealed a little too much when she attended the 2002 Oscar ceremony in a see-through dress. Now her daring outfit has earned a new accolade.

The wife of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been named as the owner of the worst little black dress in a poll to celebrate 80 years of the wardrobe staple.

Ms Paltrow, who won a Best Actress Oscar in 1998 for her role in Shakespeare In Love, turned up at the glittering Hollywood awards bash three years later in an Alexander McQueen ‘punk princess’ transparent dress that completely revealed her breasts. She was roundly criticised for her choice of outfit at the time, but now comes bottom in a poll of little black dresses worn by the rich and famous.

Top in the survey of 1000 people by Lakeside shopping centre was Liz Hurley’s ’safety-pin’ Versace frock which launched her showbiz career, despite being merely a girlfriend of actor Hugh Grant.

Runner-up after Ms Hurley was Audrey Hepburn in her most famous pose - staring into the window at top jewellers’ Tiffany & Co.
