Vote for this site in the DMA06 Awards

The nominees for the fifth Digital Music Awards are announced today.

 

Up for the best pop artist gong are Lily Allen, Sandi Thom, The Kooks, Girls Aloud and Will Young. And moshing it out for best rock artist are Editors, Hard-Fi, Kasabian, Muse and the Mystery Jets. Those in the best electronic artist category are Pete Tong, Coldcut, Rob da Bank, Lorraine and John B.

 

Meanwhile, Lemar, Nate James, Plan B, Sway and The Streets are fighting for the best urban artist award. In the Best Music Site (fansite) award, Coldplaying.com is up for nomination. To vote for THIS site, click here. For more info on other categories click here

Winners for the only awards dedicated to digital music entertainment are voted for by the public. However, five of the categories – including best innovation, best use of mobile and best artist promotion – will be chosen by judges. New categories include best music blog and best unsigned artist site in the 'people's choice' section.

 

The BT Digital Music Awards wlll be held on October 3 in Camden and broadcast on Channel Four. Last year's awards, voted for by more than 500,000 people, were dominated by Gorillaz and Coldplay.
