gwyneth10.jpgActress Gwyneth Paltrow elicited a number of gasps in New York this week when the expectant mother was seen downing a bottle of Guiness.

 

The Oscar-winning actress and her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, were dining in a New York sushi bar when they left the BYOB eatery and returned with a several bottles of the Irish stout, The New York Daily News reported Thursday.

 

Paltrow, who has long espoused the advantages of a rigorous macrobiotic diet, did not consume any sushi at the restaurant, but drank the stout, which experts say is good for pregnant women in small doses because its high iron content, the newspaper said.
