Lotto punters will buy a million tickets an hour today in a £75million EuroMillions frenzy.
Camelot's figures have shown that tonight's draw is heading for record sales sparked by the giant jackpot. A spokesman predicted sales would be up 200 per cent, adding: "We've got the champagne on ice and are looking forward to the possibility of writing out our biggest-ever cheque."
Nobody has won the Euro- Millions draw since August when one person walked away with £39million. The jackpot has now rolled over eight times. This week's total is the biggest since February, when three people shared the £125million winnings. If a single ticket-holder hits the jackpot they will be worth more than Coldplay's Chris Martin (£25million), Rio Ferdinand (£22m) and Jamie Oliver (£25m) combined.
