A few hours ago (shortly before 6pm BST, Thursday) another video was uploaded to ColdplayTV, the official YouTube channel. Entitled, "AATKTDATKANUMMFAL", acronym for "And all the kids they dance / All the kids all night / Until Monday morning feels another life", it shows the words spraypainted in different formats and colours. We are quickly amassing a collection of lyrics for an unnamed Coldplay song, possibly their first single. That's our best guess, anyway...
If Coldplay's intention was to confuse/tease/excite/tantalise* us (poor) fans into submission, it has clearly worked; you can read some of the latest comments from the Coldplay forum after the jump below... (*delete as appropriate). So far the lyrics amount to:

Knowing that Phil and some of the band check out this forum from time to time, I'm willing to bet that over the course of the last few days they someone in the coldplay camp has been reading this thread to see how all the fans are reacting to it and what kind of buzz it is generating. Hm. I'm getting a techno-dance-type vibe from the lyrics, yet it contradicts what was said about Jonny's guitar peak. It's definitely a new sound for sure, but I'm not worried at all. [thanks LiTii]
New music is usually released on Tuesdays, right? I don't think this is dropping any hints about Monday... anyway, while I'm not really feeling these lyrics... I'm trying not to pass judgment until I actually hear a song- imagine if they'd tweeted the lyrics to VLV before it was released, we all would have run for the hills! Some people have already said that they think the lyrics sound like a dance song, I totally agree! Already when the first silent video came - the 3 lines made me think of an ace house music tune haha! Totally looking forward to what it'll actually be. [thanks SueDeNimes]

For me "Monday Morning" sounds really nice though! And it would fit to what Chris said earlier this year. He said Coldplay's forthcoming fifth album is about "love, addiction, OCD, escape and working for someone you don't like". Usually on Monday's you have to get up for work, for school or for whatever and maybe "for someone you don't like"... By the way: Where's that article/interview where Chris mentioned the MM?? I wanted to read it again.. I don't know why but I think Coldplay has gone more electronic. Well, I am curious about how they'd sound like then. edit: What's up with Will's accordion? How can their music NOT be influenced by all this Jay Z, Kanye, Tinie Tempah, etc. stuff that Chris is into? I'm bracing myself for a hip hop esque Coldplay album I'm not saying it's gonna all be like that, but influenced by it fo sho. Maybe they will take dance lessons? [thanks iluvjonnyboy]
Guys... why are you judging everything already? Stop criticising the lyrics for god's sake, there is no context yet at all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the "alleged" lyrics anyway, we are not fans of 4 poets or novel writers here are we? (or did I miss something?) ... it's music, we are music fans, and why judge these musicians that we love so much, on nothing musical at all... just some words?!?! They are teasing and tantalising, they are getting us all (well, definitely me) so excited, and I love them for it, I love the suspense, and the anticipation, and ugh, it's freking brilliant!!! Am I right? P.S. Monday Morning it is.... and if it fits the theme, which I'm sure it will, then it'll be a great album title... also, I think this song that we are getting these lyrics for could also be called Monday Morning perhaps? I THINK there may be news on Monday. I HOPE there will be... but we don't know. As with being so cryptic, it's like we have to decipher a riddle or something. Monday Morning??? I hope there won’t be big news on Monday!!! The Oracle once said that the LP5 definitely wouldn’t be out at May. Locust7 said May 31st, June 1st ..., round midnight between both days we can expect some news. That means we have a bigger chance of getting the LP5 and not a single! Because it’s the 1st June!!!
