With Father's Day this weekend, the best of celebrity dads have been battling it out to be named Dad of the Year by a US magazine.
While most kids would surely give the title to their own dads, Life & Style magazine assessed the hunks of Hollywood (and Coldplay's Chris Martin) to decide who deserved the title of top father.
Top of the papas came new father Brad Pitt, whose daughter Shiloh was born just last month. Brad is also daddy to Maddox and Zahara, the two adopted children of girlfriend Angelina Jolie."He even skipped the Cannes Film Festival in anticipation of Shiloh's birth," Life & Style editor-in-chief Debra Birnbaum said.
Completing the top five were film star fathers Heath Ledger, Ryan Phillipe, Ben Affleck and Will Smith. Coldplay's Chris Martin, dad to daughter Apple and son Moses, came in seventh.
"It's been really exciting to see how Hollywood's leading men are taking on the responsibility of fatherhood and how they each showing their unique personalities and styles in raising their children," Ms Birnbaum added.
Matthew Broderick, Guy Ritchie, David Arquette and Dean Cain rounded off the top ten dads of the year in the magazine's rankings.
