There are only five days to go before LeftRightLeftRightLeft will be released on May 15 at Coldplay's show at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in Florida's West Palm Beach, and then subsequently to anyone attending a live Coldplay show for the remaining dates of 2009's worldwide Viva La Vida tour.
The album, which mostly features cuts from Viva La Vida, contains 9 live tracks in all that had been recorded during different stops on the band's worldwide tours of the last few years. However, if you can't pony up the cash for arena-concert tickets, don't fret... you won't be left out in the cold. The album will also be available for download on the band's official website the same day it is released at Coldplay's West Palm Beach, FL date.
The move is being viewed as an interesting one by marketers in the music industry as LeftRightLeftRightLeft no doubt promotes Viva La Vida, but also adds extra incentive for fans to attend a show and receive a physical copy of the soon-to-be collector's item.
LeftRightLeftRightLeft is being released as a sentiment of gratitude towards all the fans who have supported Coldplay during their worldwide endeavors in 2008 and 2009. The album is also being touted as a "recession-buster" in an economic time where times are tough for most, let alone the fledgling music industry.
LeftRightLeftRightLeft's track listing is as follows:
1. Glass of Water
2. 42
3. Clocks
4. Strawberry Swing
5. The Hardest Part/Postcards From Far Away
6. Viva La Vida
7. Death Will Never Conquer
8. Fix You
9. Death And All His Friends
