Those willing to put 100 pounds ($196.19) up front toward cancer research can take part this evening in an exclusive tour and rock-and-pop ephemera auction, Sound & Vision, at Abbey Road Studios. The event includes access to Studio 2, where the Beatles made some of their best-loved recordings.
The auction, in aid of Cancer Research UK, is organized by Beatles producer George Martin, and includes contact sheets of the Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix from acclaimed rock photographer Gerard Mankowitz; a pinball machine featured on the front of an album by current favorites the Zutons; and handwritten lyrics by Coldplay frontman and Mr. Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin.
