Brandy – 'Coldplay Are My Inspiration'

Brandy has talked of her huge admiration of Coldplay, and the band's influence on her music.

 

The vocalist, who releases her new album 'Afrodisiac' later this month, told MTV News about her love of Chris Martin and co. "I love Coldplay," she said. "I think they’re one of the greatest bands alive."

 

"We sampled their song 'Clocks' for the track 'Should I Go'." Brandy went on to say that Coldplay provided inspiration for 'I Try'. "I sing about how if I’m depressed and need to know my spirits are lifted, I turn on a Coldplay song."

 

Brandy's new single 'Talk About Our Love', featuring Kanye West, was released on Monday (June 14) and looks set to enter inside the top ten.
