Calgary and Edmonton left off Coldplay's touring agenda

coldplaynme.jpgIt doesn't look like Chris Martin and Coldplay are trying too hard to make up for cancelling last summer's dates in Edmonton and Calgary, writes the Edmonton Journal. Coldplay have just announced another North American tour -- and surprise, surprise -- neither Alberta city is on the list. Only Toronto (July 29) and a bunch of U.S. cities are included.

In an interview last year, guitarist Jonny Buckland said the band would reschedule the missed shows. "I think we'll definitely be replacing those in the new year," he says. "I'm not sure exactly when, to be honest; we've got it planned all the way up until the end of December. But the only plans we have for the new year are playing those ones in Western Canada and in Calgary. I've got quite a lot of family in Calgary and they would be very disappointed if we didn't play there."

Coldplay was scheduled to perform July 29, 2008 at Rexall Place. The rockers were forced to cancel due to production delays.
