Chris Martin is making poverty history by hiring a private helicopter this summer to keep popping in to the recording studio, where he is making another epic record.
Coldplay have an album's worth of new material and are planning to set up their own HQ in London to record it - despite tabloid reports they're going to split. After sampling Kraftwerk on last single 'Talk' the band are set to take their approach to recording. Inspired by the German group's Kling Klang studio where no outsiders are allowed, Coldplay are planning to build their own London studio to record the follow-up to 'X&Y' [pictured].
Their third album was recorded in various studios across the world, an experience the group aren't in a hurry to repeat. However, one thing is for sure, despite Chris Martin's claims at the BRIT Awards the group would move out of the limelight, any suggestion of a split is untrue.Source: http://www.metro.co.uk
