thandienewton.jpgActress Thandie Newton (ER, Crash) is on a mission: After being confronted by Greenpeace because she owns a big, oil-wasting BMX X5, she got herself a hybrid car, the famous Toyota Prius, and started sending letters to other celebrities who own such eco-damaging, huge jeeps themselves.

 

"I rang Greenpeace saying that I wanted to write a letter to celebrities who have 4x4s, because maybe a lot of them are like me and are just ignorant.", Newton said. So far, she's written letters to Will Smith, Tom Cruise, and also Chris Martin.
