Citing an unspecified illness, Coldplay called off their scheduled performance tonight (5/27) in Saratoga Springs, NY. Though further details were not given, an announcement posted at coldplay.com said that management was "in the process of re-arranging the show for another date" and changes would be addressed at the official website shortly.
However, a recent YouTube video has been posted which shows Chris Martin discussing doctors' advice with the audience about performing, advice which the band ignored. You can now watch the video, including a performance of The Scientist, here at the Coldplay Live forum [thanks mimixxx]
The postponement comes just eight shows into Coldplay's lengthy spring and summer tour of the US, which began May 15 in West Palm Beach, FL, and runs through early August. The band's next scheduled show is slated for Saturday (5/30) in Pittsburgh.
