As reported earlier, international relief agency Oxfam began taking bids on Tuesday in an online celebrity auction aimed at raising money for its work in Darfur and neighbouring Chad. Among the items on offer are pop star Elton John's tailor-made Donatella Versace suit, a script of hit film The Queen signed by Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin's Dolce and Gabbana jacket, and gold-coloured designer shoes signed by actress Sienna Miller.
The Coldplay item is now up for auction on eBay. Click here to view/bid. This one off jacket was worn by Chris Martin on Coldplay’s Rush of Blood Tour 2003. This corduroy jacket is also signed by the band.
Chris Martin is the lead singer, occasional lead guitarist and pianist of the popular rock band Coldplay. A Rush of Blood to the Head Tour was a global concert tour that supported the band’s second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head. Officially, the tour ran for almost nine months in 2003, covering five continents in the process. Headliners for the tour included extended appearances by Idlewild and Ash in 2002 and Feeder, The Music, Eisley, and Ron Sexsmith in 2003.
