Coldplay are to join the ranks of musical greats including Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney by performing a one-off special concert at the Abbey Road Studios in London.
The concert at the legendary studios is set to take place on Monday February 13. The gig will be recorded by BBC Radio 2 and will then be aired sometime in April.
Meanwhile, the green carpet at L.A.'s Staples Center is in place and ready to accommodate Wednesday's night's 48th annual Grammy Awards, where Coldplay are joined by outspoken hip-hop artist Kanye West and comeback queen Mariah Carey who will vie for the music industry's top honours – and where performance highlights are bound to include Madonna's duet with the cartoon "virtual band" Gorillaz, created by Blur frontman Damon Albarn.
