Coldplay Announce New Show at Verizon Center Birmingham, Alabama - May 18th

vivablack.jpgColdplay will return to the Birmingham area for a May 18 concert at the Verizon Wireless Music Center, promoter Live Nation announced today.

 

Tickets for the date in Pelham, priced at $35-$97.50, will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 16 at 877-598-8698 or www.livenation.com. The show time and opening act haven't been confirmed. Coldplay last performed here in January 2003 at the BJCC Concert Hall. In September 2005, Coldplay canceled a show at the Verizon Center, blaming a virus that had sickened lead singer Chris Martin. We're pleased to announce that Coldplay will be heading to Birmingham, Alabama on May 18th for a show at the Verizon Wirelesss Music Center. Tickets go on sale from here on Monday 16th March. We're told that this is the band's first show in Birmingham, AL since January 2003 (a September 2005 show was cancelled when Chris had a virus).
