Each year as part of the Grammy Awards tradition, a compilation album featuring the top nominees is released for music fans to savour. This year's 52nd annual edition of the big awards show is now different, as the 2010 Grammy nominees CD features some of the top 2010 Grammy nominated artists in the business.
The 2010 Grammy Nominees CD album features a who's who of top musical acts including Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift, Green Day, U2 and Coldplay. It's 20 tracks deep and sure to offer the best of the best in music for avid fans!
The 52nd annual Grammy Awards show will air later tonight - Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 8PM EST on CBS. Last year Coldplay were nominated for seven awards and this year the band make the shortlist again with nods for best rock performance for Life In Technicolor ii, while the same track wins them a nomination for best short form video. Having dominated proceedings when the Grammy nominations for 2009 were announced a year ago, British acts are hard to find for next month’s ceremony in Los Angeles. Here's the confirmation from Anchorman about Coldplay's nominations: Good morning. We're pleased to report that, last night, Coldplay were nominated for two awards at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. The Coldplay-shaped puppets have been up all night celebrating. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Jan 31, 2010. The band are shortlisted for the following:
- Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals (for Life In Technicolor ii)
- Best Short Form Music Video (for Life In Technicolor ii)
