    Coldplay Fume Over Ticket 'Scalpers'

coldplay1.jpgColdplay [pictured] have been left fuming after learning tickets for their shows in Las Vegas has been selling for a whopping £700 ($1,260) online.

Ticket prices for the February 3 concert at Sin City's MGM Grand started at £28 ($50), but some internet sites have been selling seats for up to 25 times their face value.

A source said: "Coldplay never charge much for gig tickets because they want them to go to genuine fans. They are very strict about it. They could charge loads more for them, like many other acts do. But the last thing they want is for fans to be priced out of going to their gigs. Unfortunately there is very little the band can do to stop greedy scalpers from buying loads of tickets then flogging them on the net. The sites that offer these expensive tickets are not part of the official Coldplay site."

Tickets for the gig at the 17,000 capacity venue sold out in just seven minutes.
