MORE NEW ITEMS ON COLDPLAY.COM TIMELINE
We're still adding at least two items a week to the timeline at the new coldplay.com, each accompanied by a hand-written note from the band. Over the last few weeks, they've included a note from Jonny on the band's first ever US show in 2001, a mini-documentary about the band's habit of dropping huge yellow balloons on their audiences and a note from Chris about the singles box set which came out earlier this year.
This week, we've added the rare video of a performance from Coldplay's alter egos, The Nappies (featuring Beatles producer Sir George Martin). Head to coldplay.com to check it all out - you can always spot the new items by the yellow stars next to them.
PLAY COLDPLAY SONGS ON YOUR GUITAR
If you've ever fancied playing your favourite Coldplay songs on guitar, a unique new digital service has been launched with video tutorials showing you how. Now Play It has been developed to help offer a more instant and direct way of learning, for musicians of every ability. Oh yes.
Click here to visit the Coldplay page of the site. Five of the band's tracks are available as "Lite tutorials", where the guitar chords flash up over the song's video. Another three songs are available as "Full tutorials" where a qualified guitar instructor takes you through a step-by-step video tutorial of how to play the song.
Full tutorials cost £3.99 and Lite tutorials £1.99 and they're available to download throughout the world. They come in a variety of sizes and file types to fit on your iPod, mobile or computer. You can also check out free previews of all eight tracks' tutorials at the site.
